  1. Luvu had a bad game. Should have hit Bijan in the backfield on his TD, dropped an INT just off the top of my head. We would just need to allocate some of that cap for the OL. A weapon for Young and possibly extending some OL for example would be a start.
  2. I was about to post something similar. We need to lock in Brown before the DL market gets reset by another player. Burns and Brown get contracts and right now Chinn (unless he signs a reasonable one) and Horn will be the ones we replace.
  3. Yeah it really wasn’t that bad. We hung around and eventually the 3 turnovers (4 if you count failed 4th down conversion) with 17 points coming from them was too much to overcome. Our defense played much better than expected just ran out of gas at the end. Basically our rookie QB made a couple rookie mistakes and if he cleans that up (which we all know he can) we will be fine. I mean our staff addressed the media saying we may start off rough, but will look much better by season’s end. Now we have people writing off Young. Well ok if we are using game 1 as a sample size, AR is injury prone, and Stroud can’t score at this level. I guess they all are busts?
  4. I try to watch every game unless we have something planned with the family. I get excited when they play well and frustrated when they don’t. However through conditioning of many letdowns I can pretty much flip a switch and be content if they play bad right after the game.
  5. Yeah I’m seeing 2 sacks and those cane at the end whenever they would blitz knowing he had to pass one was an overloaded blitz.
  6. But Cam 2.0 looked better in his loss before he got hurt?!?!?!??? Seriously though, great post. It’s a tough game for rookie QBs, especially when they start off on the road. Young looked good one series and bad another. Seems to be about right for a rookie’s first start.
  7. He honestly is better than he gets credit for. I’m not a fan of his, but he seems like a solid mid-tier QB. Also he has never really great weapons to work with.
  8. Happy that I have Tyreek Hill in fantasy. He went off!
  9. DJ Moore was solid, but I’m not going to sit here and pretend like there weren’t games as recent as last year where Baker and Darnold couldn’t find any WRs getting separation. I feel like we as fans under appreciated Moore while he was here, but definitely over appreciate him now that he is gone.
  10. Matt Rhule would have ruined them.
  11. I assume he was nervous being his first game and on the road. He should let loose as he gets more comfortable with the offense. He had a lot of fire in him during those Alabama games.
  12. Agreed. He overthrew what would have been a 99 yard TD to Mingo. The overthrow to TMJ was on TMJ slowing down mid route.
  13. I’m really trying to understand was he looking scared or laid back? Robotic in a bad way? Also he looked small and frail vs Cam 2.0 who is the one who actually got injured?
  14. Yep. That’s the story of this game. Good news is that’s correctable and if we can sustain those drives our defense looked decent.
  15. We are going to need to develop into a balanced offense. Corbet coming back or Zavala getting experience will help the OL (who had a solid showing today). Mingo will get better plus we might get Chark for some games letting Thielen slide to the slot where he belongs. Again if we just cut down of the turnovers we will look a lot better. Failed 4th down conversion in the redzone, 2 drive killing INTs by a rookie QB, and a fumble by our RB swung that game completely. We started off solid but simply lost momentum from those turnovers and are too young of a team to comeback from that.
  16. That's a fair assessment of this game. Hopefully we see some evolving on the coaching/scheme end as the season progresses.
  17. What would you consider a top pick QB without a NFL arm? Playing coy now is probably a good move anyway after an overreaction.
  18. Our turnovers lost that game. The refs just did their typical shitty calls.
  19. You said he doesn't have an NFL arm. A QB without a "NFL arm" drafted at 1 would be considered a bust. He may not have an elite arm, but it is more than enough for the NFL.
  20. He is trying to say Young doesn't have a NFL arm. Typical Huddler overreacting to a game. Young is a bust we should have drafted AR (who left hurt) yada yada yada....
  21. Great counter argument. I stand corrected with this new data you have presented. It took one game for you to try to declare him a bust? I expected better...
