  1. Hopefully a good one falls to us in the 2nd.
  2. Dalton was rusty and off in his timing. A lot of those passes were right behind his WRs. I feel like he will be fine with more reps with these WRs. His back injury caused him to miss a lot of valuable reps recently IMO.
  3. He was pretty damn accurate too. I know it was a simplified offense, but he should still be making some of those passes he was missing on Friday.
  4. Who do you want over him? Honestly he is deep on the depth chart so he very well could be replaced an I’m good with it if it’s an upgrade. The school thing just makes no sense. Talent is talent and our staff is seeing it up close against NFL competition. Where did Thielen go to school? What about Chinn? Do we need to cut both of them?
  5. They certainly aren’t playing SEC defenses/offenses every week. Writing off a player that teammates and coaches are high on because of where he played in college is just pure nonsense. He outplayed a couple terrible vets for the 3rd string OT position. He still might not make the final roster, but if he does it’s ok. I think people on here are looking for reasons to complain…
  6. I haven’t really noticed him, but I wasn’t really looking at our safeties. I know DJax has mentioned him a couple times in players that have impressed him.
  7. @jayboogiemanyour boy is available!
  8. Haha is that your new spin? They beat out vets who we all know are terrible for a roster spot. If a better option is available everyone is all for it. I can play your game though. What college did he got to? Tulsa? Not good enough…
  9. Yeah he has played there. It’s probably still not the final product right now,
  10. He is 6'5" 289 BC is 6'6" 300. The size is capable for a NFL tackle. I'd rather have 2 UDFA rookies on the OL for depth that Campen has signed off on and preferred over 2 terrible vets. It's still very fluid anyway. Just relax and let them handle business.
  11. The DL is a BIG ? I agree. Brown, Tuttle, and Williams are all solid but we need some depth ASAP. I am going to wait and see how all the chips fall first. If a decent vet OL is available or gets cut (doubtful) then we might drop of those UDFA. Would you really feel better if Jordan and Erving were there instead of those rookies? We KNOW they are hot garbage.
  12. Huddlers- cut Jordan and Erving they are terrible!! *Jordan and Erving get cut* Huddlers- WE NEED VETS ON OL FOR DEPTH. IT'S TOO INEXPERIENCED NOW!!
  13. BC will slide to LT if Icky goes down (or possibly RT for Moton). Cade Mayes can come in pretty much any position on the OL if needed as well. It's concerning but it's not as bad as it looks on paper.
  14. lol I had something similar already typed up. Such a poor argument. Moton might be our best OL (he is the captain) and he is from the smallest school out of all of the starters.
  15. Trey Lance went to the same school as Wentz who was doing great until injuries ruined his career. Kurt Warner, Jake Delhomme, Tony Romo, Terry Bradshaw, Big Ben, Steve McNair (the list goes on) also all went to small schools. Moton who is the captain of our OL went to Western Michigan. BC is one inch taller and 11 more pounds than him. His size is fine for the NFL. I don't care if he makes the team, but I completely understand moving on from Erving who we KNOW is terrible and giving the backup position to a player who has shown them some potential over TC and preseason. I just think the school argument is pointless. Honestly if Icky goes down BC will probably slide to LT. So he is more than likely 3rd string.
  16. He is a large raw OT that outplayed his competition. Either Campen likes what he saw from him or they are going to replace him with another player that gets cut. Either way they saw enough of Erving to know he was a liability and wasn't going to get any better. With Erving you know the QB is doomed.
  17. Why does it matter where he went to school? Our staff got a look at him vs NFL talent and saw potential. I trust Campen and am not concerned about Erving being gone. Last time I saw Erving he was either chasing a playing sacking our QB or getting tossed into our QB by some 3rd string player on another team.
  18. OL drafted from the previous staff? Sure. A rookie has a chance of getting better plus they have already got a good look at him and must like what they see. We KNOW Erving will play terrible when he goes in. So you prefer a known liability vs a potential one that you might be able to develop?
  19. A vet who is a liability at the peak in his career vs a rookie who will continue to develop and get better as the season progresses? I don't hate the move....
  20. If we had our 2nd round rookie WR have a breakout year then the Chark deal is "disastrous"? I'm so confused. Like you said Bryce needs weapons on the field, if Mingo plays great then Chark can simply been another weapon for as many games as he can give us. Same for TMJ, Theilen and any other WR/weapon on the team. We lost DJ Moore and our staff has tried to bring on as many weapons as possible for Young to have. The flip side to your argument is what if Mingo needs more time to develop (he wasn't getting great separation on Friday). Isn't it nice to have a nice vet who is capable of getting separation for Young to throw to until Mingo gets more comfortable playing in the NFL?
  21. With Chark the contract matches the risk. It was a good deal. 1 year $5 million for a potential WR1. Say he plays half of the games this year. $5 million for 8.5 games of healthy Chark isn't a terrible deal in itself.
  22. Oh I kind of like it for the team. They are trying to solidify some depth. It just shows me Fitt wasn't as high on these players as Rhule may have been.
  23. Well I am glad I wasn't the only one.
