"We should have traded Burns" - a rebuttal
ForJimmy replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
So do you think we can acquire a pick just for a future pick in the same round? To get even a mid third for Corral it to a future 3rd PLUS a current 4th. It’s because future kicks don’t hold as much value. We can’t acquire a current 1st (even a late one) just for a future 1st or any round for that matter. It’s time value plus the unknown of where that pick will be. -
The players may or may not be true. Is there any specific players saying this or just a bunch of sources to help justify his firing? https://nypost.com/2021/01/04/eagles-players-had-to-be-restrained-from-confronting-doug-pederson/amp/ https://fansided.com/2021/01/05/miles-sanders-eagles-players-furious-doug-pederson/amp/ Here are several articles stating Eagles players had issues with Pederson benching starters that last game. Seems they were over his antics as well. Miles Sanders is actually named in one.

If he “wore out his welcome” in San Fran then Pederson did the same with the Eagles (only 4-5 years and won a Super Bowl) and Reich did the same with the Colts with much less success. As long as the same people pushing this narrative didn’t want Pederson and don’t want Reich, I guess it can make some sense?

I guess I don’t see it. The Niners front office was a poo show. Aside from that everything else was an upward promotion and you can’t fault a person for that.
-
I don’t get the 5 year comments about Harbaugh. He was fired from the Niners, he didn’t just walk away and decide to coach at Michigan. His career was all upward moves until then. QB coach in the NFL, HC for smaller school in San Diego, HC for major conference school at Stanford, and HC in the NFL Niners. He was fired and took another big college job where he has been the past 7-8 years. He wants back in the NFL where he belongs. Hell Doug Pederson was fired from the Eagles after only 5 years. Is anyone worried about him being a short term coach?

"We should have traded Burns" - a rebuttal

So if we trade our 1st, next year’s Rams or our 1st, and 1 of what would be our 3 2nd round picks to move up to 2 and draft Stroud we would still have a 1st in 24 left from that trade plus all of our picks. Future picks are great trade assets during the draft. -
Give him a real QB and his TDs will increase. In the past Sam struggled to make reads in the red zone and we would just run the ball.
-
They could, but Ridder has some nice traits and they can get a long look at him next season and look at a nice potentially loaded class that next offseason.

Lol Heinicke was like umm coach this rookie is pretty good, why not play him in this game??

Rapoport and Pelissero talk head coach openings
ForJimmy replied to Mr. Scot's topic in Carolina Panthers
Meh the first few years he was getting his feet wet. Indy was solid with a good QB (Luck) then lost Luck late in the offseason and had a mid range offense still. He was the top 10 in offense with Wentz and and old Rivers after that. That's pretty solid. My main question is was he wanting to sign all of these vet QBs or was that more of the GM and Reich making due with what he has. I don't think he ever had roster control... -
https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaaf/news/jim-harbaughs-natural-steroids-steak-vitamins-quote-michigan-football/aplryzm4enpf1w4a38clcbbz7 Sleep, Whole Milk, Steak, and Steak. Also "if worms had machine guns, birds would be scared of them."

I'm trying to troll on behalf of our (hopefully) future coach! I'm just doing a terrible job at it...

Someone is daydreaming again....

Nervous waitress must have ate some nervous bird before taking that order. The story continues with the police coming in and saluting the man eating raw cow and milk in honor of his manliness. Enter Gigachad....
-
I feel like milk stout counts. Let me ask Jim Harbaugh real quick....
-
I would kick that alien's ass while chewing on a raw steak. Once the alien is knocked out in defeat, I would wash down my victory with a pint of whole milk. Serious question. When you are drinking your oat milk do you put the rubber nipple over the glass or the glass under the rubber nipple?
-
This is how a man drinks his whole milk! Probably washing down a nice steak in that GIF. No one has time for that nervous bird!
-
Look you can pour your bourbon over your steak or in your whole milk. Does that sound fair? None of those nervous little chicken biscuits you were eating earlier though…
-
If we somehow land Jim we all need to make steak and whole milk our game day meal. None of that pussy 1% milk either. @4Cornersis a skim milk guy from what I’ve heard. He likes it with a splash of strawberry syrup in a fancy glass.

Agreed. This one even has them getting AR with the Browns pick.

https://thedraftnetwork.com/2023-nfl-mock-draft-qb-trades/ Huddle explosion mock draft. Carolina trades up to 4 with Stroud on the board and selects..... Will Levis!

As long as he isn't a well-done steak guy I am ok.

Someone is a nervous bird eater…

Harbaugh to Carolina Makes Too Much Sense...
ForJimmy replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
I’m not 100% sure it would just be a 3-5 year thing. Each job he took was a promotion all the way until the Niners owners got into a pissing match with him and ran him off. He didn’t resign but was told that would be his last season. He has been at Michigan for 7 years, but the NFL has always been calling him back which is why we hear these rumors every year. Hell he interviewed with the Vikings until Michigan threw stupid money at him.
