Welp… Stroud is the guy, right?
ForJimmy replied to TheMostInterestingMan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Lawrence is looking better, I need to see Wilson healthy longer, Jones and Zappe did what they were asked in that system, and Fields went to an impossible situation for any rookie QB to develop (no OL, no weapons, and a HC that is mainly DC focused). It takes more than simply drafting a player, you have to give them the ability to succeed. If we get a good offensive HC to pair with our solid OL and young defensive talent, it could be a good environment to develop a rookie QB. -
New coach, new QB, good OL, talented defensive players. We could be competitive next year if our rookie QB can get comfortable.
-
Yeah when you are in last place and had a terrible coach with full roster control just get fired, it’s not an immediate recovery. With our OL, and young defensive pieces we could be entertaining next year with our rookie QB, but it will take a rookie QB and new HC a minute to adjust anyway. Immediate success can’t triumph long term sustainability.
-
They actually a plan for the first time in several years. -Flip the bloated contracted vet players for draft picks -Hire an offensive minded HC to draft a QB with your top pick -Build around top pick with drafted players inserted with our current young talent and take the dead cap hit this year -Use all the cap money we have in 2024 to complete our roster and try to make a run.

I was saying this and one of troll accounts on her got all bitchy about it.
-
We changed the idiot with final roster control. He was sitting in that room every draft day. That gives me some hope. Hopefully we bring in some new faces as well though. Good point.

Cam is gone now. Why are you still lurking? Are you a converted fan or just a weird Steelers troll. I seem upset yet you are bringing up how another poster hurt your feelings 10 months ago?? Sounds like projecting feelings to me... Anyway I'll enjoy Narnia and hoping for the best. You keep enjoying lurking on struggling franchise's message boards and trying to correct posters. To each his own.
-
It’s not the same group drafting this year, so it’s not really relevant.
-
He said it wasn't even about the cap so you proved nothing. I just found it weird you are still thinking about his post from 10 months ago. Did it hurt you that badly?? I get you are wanting to argue, but at this point you are just arguing with yourself. Puppies and rainbows are what you are allowed to post about remember?
-
He is a "unique" one. Steelers fan lurking on a team that's currently in the bottom of the league and trying to control any sort of optimistic views from the fans. I guess we all have our hobbies, but man that's not a fun pass time for me....
-
okay now i realize is going to be endless with you. It's apparent you don't understand the financial strategies of this business. Which is one of my favorite parts. You are pulling up posts from nearly a year ago?? Man don't let people live in your head that long. Let it go and relax.... Remember puppies and rainbows.

They are so adorable
-
You don't know how bad my team is right now.....
-
You understand so you will stop being the salary cap police?
-
I’ll admit it. So far so good for Fitts!
-
Yeah and what if we pick up and undrafted QB who is better than both of them? The odds are against that happening, if it does we got a steal in Corral and can trade our first round QB for a return.
-
They seem like they are going to be expensive and may not want to sign with a team in rebuild mode.
-
On a side note, Foreman is our main back now right? Asking for Fantasy teams…
-
Which kind of sounds like Fitts knows what he is doing and Rhule was doing most of the dumb poo.
-
Yeah we aren't in the FA business next season. It's about draft picks and acquiring cheap young talent. Once we have our rookie QB and HC running their system for a year we will know what pieces we need and sign FA according the following year. Also we probably are going to extend Burns which will lower his cap his next year.
-
I’m hoping he lets our new coach decide. It’s basically part of the job offer. We have no QB, but you get a premium pick to draft your guy and put him behind our solid young OL with young pieces of a decent defense.
-
Burns is probably going to be traded right?
ForJimmy replied to firefox1234's topic in Carolina Panthers
A young premium position player that is one if the top in the league? Nah I think we extend or tag him because he can be a great foundation for our defense. Burns, Brown, Horn, and Chinn are our pieces for next year’s defense. Icky, Moton, Corbett, possibly BC, and Moore are our pieces for offense. -
It’s a smart play by the Niners because CMC can really help Lance develop once he gets healthy. They have so much invested in Lance they need him to work out.
