What’s your 2023 QB big board (including Corral)
ForJimmy replied to Wundrbread33's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yeah if both are project QBs you take the project with the highest ceiling like Mahomes and Allen. If you are gambling with a high pick you better gamble high. -
I’m telling you it’s the OSU hate. I just want the best QB for Carolina whether he plays for OSU, Alabama (and I’m an Auburn fan), Kentucky, or freaking MIT.
-
Lots of delay of game penalties. Credit the fans. Tennessee had Young get hit with 3 when they played.
-
Yeah that was damn near perfect.

We aren’t getting the number 1 pick! Have some faith and stop being down on the Panthers.

I would imagine it’s his ceiling. Richardson has a stupid high ceiling, but a very low floor as well… -
All I know is if we draft a QB and still have a high pick the following yeah we need to get Harrison Jr. He is playing like an elite senior as a 2nd year WR.
-
Stroud is definitely not a running QB lol. Anyone still think he is like Fields??

I get it. He is very raw as a passer. -
Lol I thought that, but I’m all for OSU losing. I like Stroud as a prospect, but hate OSU.
-
And please don’t get me wrong. I don’t think your opinion is wrong, just trying to show why I’m high on. You make plenty of valid points as always.
-
He plays for OSU? We were debating him as a prospect and you responded with how his team has an easy schedule. That’s the full circle. I think all we are saying is no one has really had a tougher schedule so it’s not really relevant. The talent would be the main issue to me not the schedule.
-
Definitely not everything. The ball pats (Baker, Howell) and time it takes definitely goes into play for CBs and pass rushers to see where/when the pass is happening/going. Holding it low is definitely a weakness that needs to be cleaned up, but it’s not uncommon to see that at the next level. His footwork is another positive. That’s a pretty good video on what makes him a good thrower. If you get a moment you should check it out.

“They have yet to play a competitive offense. OSU has such an easy schedule. This is their only ranked opponent on the year before they end the season with Michigan. PSU offense is really bad because their QB cant throw the ball. If their run game is stopped, they are nothing” Thats where the conversation started about schedule.
-
Yeah it starts low but takes .3 seconds to get out of his hands for an average pass. I don’t consider that an issue. Sure he can clean it up more, but that is more than adequate for the NFL IMO.
-
I mean he is hitting them in stride. The only currently ranked team Levis has played this year is Ole Miss who is ranked below Penn St. I get Stroud has talent around him, but the schedule thing can be said for every team at this point. Also Lawrence had Higgins and Amari Rogers plus the Jags RB, Burrow had 2 of the top NFL WRs a NFL RB and 3rd WR who was drafted. I just can’t hold that against him. The last few games Stroud has Harrison Jr (who is a stud), but his other top WR has been out.
-
Lol of course! Howell and Rattler should be the top 2 picks. Van Dyke, Richardson, and KJ Jefferson will top the following year.
-
Last year he played 6 ranked teams and looked good every game. He has a large sample size to show he can put the ball where it needs to be through layers of the defense. Solid release, size etc… There is nothing to not like other than things he can’t control (competition, talent). Throw in the fact he is the leader of this team full of NFL talent and is the first one on the field with a humble personality.
-
Yeah and GA actually drew a pretty easy schedule this year aside from Tennessee.
-
Believe it or not I think he won’t be until next year.
-
If Richardson plays halfway decent against UGA he will definitely have some attention.

If we look at Richardson (which I think he is staying in school), I think a good approach would be Eagles OC as HC, Minshew, and a vet QB Coach. The Eagles OC has done a great job catering his offense to Hurts, Minshew is familiar with the coach/scheme and can play until Richardson is ready. Maybe we have a few offensive packages to get his feet wet early in the season. Just a thought…
