  1. So just don’t draft one again because they might be bad? I’m leaning bridge QB and edge with our first right now. We have to upgrade this roster’s talent. However, out of the class I like Ward the most so far.
  2. Depends if we can land a serviceable bridge QB. You get one of those and we can try to build an actual roster for a rookie QB to be out in later.
  3. Yeah the loaded class of TLaw, Zach Wilson, Lance, Fields, and Mac Jones wasn’t that loaded after all.
  4. I thought Bryce would be good still. Just thought Stroud was the safer pick with the higher ceiling. Stroud’s arm talent was (is) just unreal…
  5. Wilson maybe? If we go defense we desperately need an Edge…
  6. Caleb and Daniels did that in college too. It took Caleb several games to adjust. Daniels looks like a seasoned vet out there. It’s still a bit of a crap shoot, but Sanders and Ward have the physical ability to be great. I think that’s part of it. They are just more physically gifted than a lot of defenders they play so they can hold out for the big play.
  7. I liked Fields (missed), Stroud (hit), and last year I didn’t have a favorite but I will admit I didn’t think Daniels would take off like this. He has been incredible.
  8. You can’t knock Ward for playing in the ACC and like Sanders who plays in the Big 12?? Right now he has 20 TDs to 5 INTs, Sanders is 17 to 4. Looks like he is cutting back on his TOs to me. Ward can’t beat you with his arm but he is 2nd in the league in passing yards even after having his bye week? He just rallied to beat two different teams one which he was down by 21 mostly with his arm. He sits back and reads defenses like Sanders. Both kind of hold on to the ball too long, but they are getting away with it.
  9. What if Geno is available? They can cut him for next to nothing and he carries s big cap hit….
  10. Solid. Not top 5, but definitely a 1st rounder. Check out Parsons talking about Ward. https://x.com/GeoMilian/status/1843672059320381474?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1843672059320381474|twgr^ba94c57ae97cb0fc59409ba378d9e7174602313e|twcon^s1_&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fathlonsports.com%2Fcollege%2Fmiami-fl-hurricanes%2Fcowboys-micah-parsons-delivers-bold-praise-for-miami-qb-cam-ward
  11. I personally like Ward, but Sanders is very good.
  12. 6’2” is Mahomes, Rodgers, Lamar, Dak, and taller than Baker, Hurts. In this draft Ewers and Sanders are both his height. Size shouldn’t be a concern for Ward.
  13. Ewers and Sanders are basically the same size? Both 6’2” 220-215.
  14. So the defense gets a pass due to injuries and lack of talent. The offense has a rookie WR, 4th round rookie TE, undrafted rookie WR, and David Moore all getting significant playing time and is running through Andy Dalton who at his peak was a decent QB, but those days are in his past. This season was about seeing if Young could develop, which he regressed so now we are trying to develop some of our young skill players. We aren’t going to put up 40 plus points a game though which is what was needed the last few games. I can’t look at this last game and blame our offense.
  15. 100%. You have to let these guys attempt to build something before you toss them aside for the next new guy to fix. It’s going to take a while.
  16. I’d add McCord from Syracuse. He has them at 5-1 and is 3rd in the NCAA in passing. He is a strong armed pocket passer and doing all of this at Syracuse.
  17. I’d add McCord from Syracuse. He has them at 5-1 and is 3rd in the NCAA in passing. He is a strong armed pocket passer and doing all of this at Syracuse.
  18. I think it is going to take most coaches a minute to get us out of this mess. One year isn’t going to show much. I’d at least give him another offseason and see if we are looking better in year 2. Many coaches look bad their first year. Especially if they inherit a mess like the Panthers. You have to have a little patience and now keep starting over every year.
  19. A better defensive roster keeps games closer. It’s how we got our two wins under Reich. We don’t have anywhere near a good enough offensive roster to win shootouts playing with the league’s worst defense. People can’t expect Andy Dalton to score 40 points a game to win these games. Jags defense looks pretty bad too BTW. Their roster isn’t much better than ours either.
  20. Keep firing coaches every year and your roster will keep getting gutted and the cap will stay tight. Let these guys actually try to build a roster the way they want to and see if it works. Hopefully we get some talented players along the way to fall back on. Morgan I’m indifferent on since he was working with Fitt. I like Tillis and Canales is new to this poo show. I’m willing to give him some time and try to build a roster.
  21. It helps when you look at context. For example our defense scored against the Vikings last year. Which was our only TD, now you go look at the Lions game where the scores came late against prevent defenses. We never won like we did against Oakland in simply dominating another team. Honestly our wins last year were thanks to Evero and our kicker. So far I like how XL, JT, and Coker are developing. We need that more than anything. We also are riddled with injuries this year. I’m good with waiting out Canales for a while…
  22. Frank wasn’t a first time HC. He was an old vet. I’m more patient with a new guy who appears much less stubborn. I don’t have to see WR screen to AT over and over while listening to defenders tell the press they knew our plays and just sat on the routes.
  23. You need the top pick AND a college QB to really separate himself from the rest. I don’t really see one as a clear QB1. Jags wanted to do this the year after drafting TLaw but no one traded and they took a pass rusher. If that’s the case then I don’t want the top pick. I’d rather not be the worse team for a year.
  24. He has a strong arm too. I don’t know how mobile he is though.
