  1. Checking out that ST schedule for our next LS.
  2. Maybe he wants “Mr Whip-It-Out”??? PS- How dare you imply Tepper made a mistake?! Do you know how much he is worth?!?!
  3. This is spot on to me. Too much power with no checks/balances. I really like what the Niners did with Lynch/Kyle (which still should only be used for a high profile candidate like Kyle was). The head coach from Baylor with little NFL experience should never start off with that kind of power and no checks/balances.
  4. I love football and should never be on a NFL roster. I get he was in a mess in NYJ (not much better here no OL/terrible coach), and I was even ok with acquiring him. The 2nd rounder ruined the trade from a value standpoint. The worst part of the whole deal is they had no Plan B and extended him before the season started for a stupid amount of money. When Fields fail to 8, we should have drafted him and had a “open competition” at QB. Overvaluing him and going all in on him was all around terrible. We should be letting him walk at no cost right now and probably getting a comp pick for it.
  5. Tepper knows what he is doing. How dare you question the staff he has for his team! #apooplosa
  6. There is a between area from not wanting Watson and wanting better than Darnold/Jimmy G. I know there is no guarantee to draft one, but the is definitely no guarantee if we never try to draft one. Rather it’s this year or next we need to attempt to draft a young talent to become our franchise QB. Rather Watson’s charges get dropped/settled or not it’s still a mark on his character that will follow him around. 22 women is pretty tough to argue against. Negative PR will come with him along with losing all the assets it would take to land him. Salary cap is a whole other issue. It just makes no sense in the current state our team is.
  7. Will it make us better? Sure. But we are still many pieces away from being a constant playoff team. Also what we would be giving up for him would be as valuable as a top young QB on their eyes for the trade to work. Throw in the fact he might not even be allowed to play with the legal issues, it just makes no sense.
  8. I think the NFL is just very fluid in general. Perhaps Watson was interested in playing for us last offseason. Most analysts were pretty high on Rhule still. After this season and the obvious make or break year coming up his opinion changed (and rightfully so). Draft predictions are also very fluid. The Niners probably liked Mac at first and Lance won them over with interviews and potential.
  9. This isn’t news. Of course he doesn’t want to come here now and neither did Stafford. Luckily Watson just saved the Panthers from themselves. Also this should be alarming to Tepper that we are in year 3 of Rhule’s rebuild and star players are refusing to come here. Even ones with legal issues…
  10. Switch Darnold for Mariotta and beef up our OL with FA and draft picks and we will make a huge leap in offense. By huge leap I mean from incompetent to slightly below average. If CMC stays healthy (big if) we should be middle of the pack offense IMO.
  11. Ok hear me out, we sign Mitch, Glennon, trade for Daniel Jones, and draft Hartman. All North Carolina schools are covered.
  12. I would just prefer Mariotta or Mitch as cheap bridge QBs. We had it lined up with Teddy honestly. We should have been rolling with Teddy last year why Fields (who we should have drafted was developing). Then we would have our 2nd round pick to use with our 1st to draft 2 starting OL (not to mention an extra 18.5 million in cap space) Think Cross/BA Guard in the 2nd. Oh what could have been…..
  13. Nailed the first rounder and………. that’s about it.
  14. Cross should be the pick if it falls like that…
  15. He is going to take the side of the billionaire owner. He has a thing for them….
  16. Sure but at what cost? Mariotta and Mitch should hopefully be cheaper placeholders. Going all in for a vet at our current state is a bad move IMO. Draft one or draft OL and just get a cheap younger placeholder with a little upside and continue the search.
  17. I like Strong, but the grinder/high IQ should apply to most first round QBs unless they are just in a league of their own with intangibles. Sure there are some that don’t prep/work on their craft, but most have to in order to make it this far.
  18. Our offense needs so much help… I would be disgruntled if we continued to ignore it.
