Pickett is actually an underrated scrambler who is one of the best at keeping his eyes downfield and throwing off the run.

let's see your top 6 selections for Carolina's 1.6 pick

How about their Long Snapper? We need more depth there… -
I know you are liking the 23 QB class. Will Levis out of Kentucky is another name to watch this year. He is tough and has a strong arm. Came on hit his last 5-6 games at UK.
-
Corral has a great arm and grew a lot this year (cut down on his INTs dramatically). He plays tough and tries to extend plays taking unnecessary contact (especially for his grand). If he can cut down on the huts he takes he might be a solid player.

They passed on Mac and Fields because they believed in Darnold. They know now they were wrong…

Mediocre? I mean some people think 6 is too high, but if we were at 15-20 range it would line up fine. My point is he is still a first round QB by most analysts. He last season was nothing to shrug about. Reading defenses quickly and making the right decision is a very underrated skill. His arm is more than capable and he can extend plays with his feet. People are acting like he shouldn’t even be drafted at all. I mean when the biggest flaw scouts are finding is hand size, that tells me he is a pretty solid prospect. McDaniels is all about keeping Carr and that happens to be a favorable comparison to Pickett. I’m just saying IF we draft him which McAdoo and our new OL coach, it’s not necessarily the end of the world.
-
Oh I don’t think Mac is a phenom or anything. He usually stays calm under pressure and goes through his reads quickly, things Pickett is known for. I also think Pickett has a better arm and is much faster than Mac. If we do draft him and Rhule fails, maybe our new coach can help him succeed in the NFL? I’m not a huge Pickett fan, but I also don’t think he is a terrible prospect that will never become a NFL starter like others are posting. Imagine actually having a guy that goes through reads quickly and can find Moore when he is open and not ruin the game with turnovers.
-
What makes you think he can’t be Mac?

If we take Pickett or a QB we kind of have to bank on BC at LT. Sign a solid FA Guard like Tomlinson or the guy from WFT. If we could sneak a mid level guy like Norwell that would be nice and draft a couple in the later rounds to compete with Brown. BC, FA, Elf, Brown/4th or 5th rounder/Moton with a better OL coach (as already stated) should be serviceable with some potential upside in the development of BC, Brown, rookie. It’s not great, but a huge improvement still.
-
Definitely makes sense, but will someone want to trade up in that scenario? The 3 elite LTs and 2 pass rushers might be gone.
-
I mean either he is making these hires, or he no longer has full control like before. So either he is growing in his position or the organization is growing and changing the structure of power. Either one is a win of sorts.
-
I mean there are a couple assistant coaches that will make good interms if it comes down to it. Part 2 will be if Rhule actually listens to their input or not. Let McAdoo and Fitts scout out some QBs, let your OL coach look at FAs and draft picks etc…
-
Maybe he tried it his way, saw it didn’t work and is adapting?
-
They seem to be making good hires this time around. Maybe Rhule is learning?
-
Too young.

Except us with Cam… We can be a pretty frustrating franchise.
-
So much experience!
-
So the Jags have a better coach, QB, and OL (soon enough) than us by a pretty wide margin…. I’m actually jealous of the Jags right now.
-
If Pickett is there, we need to trade down with the Steelers

I would have been pissed because I wanted Fields. -
Needs his fiber first.
-
You wanted experience, here is an old guy!
-
Yeah as good as it looks, I don’t see a team trading up for Leal…
