  1. I think he will be gone before our pick. He seems to be the top QB and the Lions or Giants could use him. Giants will probably bring in a new coach who will want a new QB, Lions could use a rookie to learn behind Goff for a couple games.
  2. That’s very odd… Any good deals? Asking for a friend.
  3. Trading for Darnold was questionable at best, but pretty low risk. Passing on QBs like Fields and picking up no other FA QBs to compete with him or act as plan B was foolish. Picking up his 5th year for $18.5 million before he took a snap with us was idiotic. The Darnold saga was stupid because Rhule went “all in” on him with no backup plan. It was a longshot to begin with, but going all in was the ultimate failure. If we had a young QB like Fields on the roster to compete with him and weren’t on the hook this next year for 18.5 it would be a totally different situation. We could draft OL and have extra money to sign a great vet. It was a complete roster mismanagement followed by incompetent coaching. Shuffling bad vets on the OL constantly is also killing this offense.
  4. Turnovers are a problem? Let’s see what Darnold can do…
  5. I got excited about Mike White too, but it was fool’s gold. Hell Kyle Allen looked like the guy for a few games for us…
  6. The Lamar hate is strong with some fans…
  7. Coaching is part of the problem. Start BC and Brown at one position, keep them there and let them develop. Shuffling around a bunch of shitty vets at different positons makes it stay terrible…
  8. Yeah a good coach can pay dividends with Henderson/Horn/Taylor in our secondary. That’s a lot of talent plus Brown has flashed potential at DT. The Darnold 2nd rounder plus his 18.5 million next year is just terrible…
  9. OP doesn’t believe what he is posting. This is just attention seeking behavior or a troll. There has been no actual information/data of why or how he will get us into the playoffs next year, just a basic statement.
  10. It’s an important enough position that you draft one when you are in position to take a potential franchise one. The main question is, is there one that is a franchise QB in this draft. A very common strategy is take the QB and the build around him. There is usually a learning curve regardless. Franchise LTs are also very hard to find. Right now at pick 5-8 and considering this is a strong OL draft we probably have a higher chance of getting a franchise LT with this class. I would be ok with a top OL, or a trade down and then a QB later in the first with additional capital to address OL.
  11. The funny thing is the Jags have actually invested in the OL. Jawaan Taylor 2nd round 35 overall, Cam Robinson 2nd round 34 overall, Norwell ( UDFA), but was a high priced FA, Baruch was a low one 4th, Linder 3rd rounder center pick 93, and Walker Little 2nd round 45 overall. They just have had a terrible coach and no real weapons for Trevor. It doesn’t matter how good you draft if your staff sucks. BC and Brown could be solid starters for all we know…
  12. Sam was his guy. He was so confident in him he even picked up his 5th year. The worse Sam looks the worse Rhule looks. I just hope Tepper sees it.
  13. 100% right. I see people talking about “tanking” next season for a QB and know there is no way Rhule on the hot seat or a new coach is going to want to do that. That’s why I’m all for drafting a QB, if there is one we like. If not address the next most important and biggest weakness in OL. No plans for a rebuild are going to involve a “tanking” year to address needs.
  14. Even if half of Brady’s weapons were missing, he would still have more weapons than Cam did a majority of his career, plus an OL. The just got out coached.
  15. As long as Rhule is replaced by someone qualified I’m happy.
  16. This staff was definitely doing him no favors. However, what I saw from Darnold was terrible decisions when he actually had time. The same decisions he made on the Jets and at USC. I don’t think he is capable of being the guy, but yeah this staff wasn’t capable of helping him in any way.
  17. I think you meant Rhule likes to blame Cam.
  18. In relation to the big 3 (OL, QB, Coach) they have and OL, average QB, and possibly a coach. We have zero of the three….
  19. Rhule doesn’t play rookie OL because he has some bad ass vets in Erving, Daley, Scott, Elf, and picked up MJ. It’s seriously a joke now. The good news is after the Bucs and Saints crush us, Tepper will have to consider firing Rhule.
  20. I’m not arguing that, but you are comparing the wins directly when they are very different circumstances. Beating the Cards with Murray is much more impressive than beating the Cards with Colt.
  21. With Colt McCoy starting instead of Kyler…
