  1. I predict we will play one more regular season game than we did last year.
  2. And every Temple/Baylor player available including *cough* Whitehead *cough*
  3. He is thinking about all the money he made during the time it took to take that picture... spoiler alert, it’s a lot!!!
  4. Yeah it’s how Teddy got the starting gig here with Brady.
  5. So he went through two shitty head coaches in 3 years who no longer have jobs. Coaches get paid to win. Miami benched Tua for Fitzpatrick and the coach was not on the hot seat for doing so. These brilliant coaches failed to see what you are saying and kept playing Darnold when he was healthy over Flaco. Bell’s receiving yards are normally off dumpoffs and screens, if you think he is out running deep routes and getting missed by the QB you need to watch more of his film. Exaggerating is the excuse you are going with because you looked foolish. Let’s just say you are exaggerating about all of this and call it a day. Crowder, Perriman, and Mims are without a doubt a bottom tier receiving core.... Do me a favor and go find any decent analyst or commentator that feels Darnold had great coaches and weapons/support in New York. I’ll be here waiting............
  6. I’m excited about the potential of our young defense. Brown, Roy, YGM anchoring our line with Burns and Reddick rushing the edges! Throw in a Perryman upgrade over Whitehead and a potential CB1 in Horn that lets Jackson cover the 2nd best/slot WR on the other team and our SS Chinn is a beast! Throw in a few high potential players like Nixon or Miller and I think we are going to have a good think going by late season! Watch out for the Northwestern boys in Paddy Fisher and Peyton Ramsey. I could see both of them making the roster or at least practice squad for now...
  7. It also depends how these guys are being used. I don’t know how Elf and Erving were used last year, but they seem like zone blocking guys. Christensen might be better in zone too, which might make things difficult for Brown to become a starter. I’m assuming we start off Scott/Erving, Elf, Paradis, rookie/Miller, Moton with hopefully Christensen taking over LT before the season is over and a rookie taking the RG job from Miller. I think Elf and Erving are going to come in handy while these rookies are learning/developing. They seem like they are both bridge players with the potential to take over the center position in a year or so.
  8. That’s the thing, a team could give away a ton for him and he could retire in a year or even mid season....
  9. Even if they can get 3 firsts plus a player for a disgruntled 36 year old? I get he was MVP, but he is the kind of guy who will walk away from the game. They need to do what’s best for their business.
  10. Especially with a new GM not named Hurney.
  11. They viewed Darnold as a top draft prospect and passed up a couple to roll with Darnold and Horn. Now let’s see what this staff can do with him and his new weapons!!
  12. Yeah and it seems way too early to be talking about this with 2nd year Rhule and 1st year Fitts. I get Teddy didn’t work out, but he wasn’t a complete disaster... He just wasn’t worth $20 million and should not be a solidified starter on any team, but that was unknown until someone gave him a chance. My main concern is not having a Plan B this year, (seems a little too similar to their mistake last year) but they sure as hell know a lot more about building a NFL team than I do.
  13. I agree with Mr Scott on this one. As an owner you can give your input and sit in with your guys while they are drafting to see how/why they are making the decisions they are making. However it’s ultimately their decisions. If they keep making bad ones you don’t like, then you have the wrong guys on your staff and it’s time to make some decisions...
  14. I still think Shanahan is better then McVay...
  15. The man is also willing to retire on a moment’s notice. He is extremely talented, but too old and high maintenance at this point for me to really want him on this team.
  16. I don’t think he wants to play for Carolina. Everywhere me mentioned was out west...
  17. You stated earlier that Darnold has more talent around him than Cam ever had. That’s where the Moore argument came from. Funchess, Moore, Samuel, Olsen, CMC is far greater than what the Jets had is all I was stating. SB winning head coach or defensive coordinator? When talking about the development of a young QB having a Super Bowl winning defensive coordinator (who has been fired as a head coach) coach him up isn’t the best idea. I mean Jim Schwartz was the DC for the Eagles when they won. You want him coaching up your rookie QB?
  18. Arnold and Marshall will be some nice red zone options. Darnold to Arnold coming soon!!!
  19. They should be. I kind of like Ramsey as a backup. Smart QB just has limited ability. I think he is capable of stepping in a game or two and playing safe football to steal a win/not lose the game.
  20. Bowles is no longer a head coach and Darnold is an uncontested starter. If Moore didn’t start he got plenty of PT with 800 yards his rookie year. Again his rookie 800 beats out all the Jets starters. If you think the Jets had better coaches (who no longer have head coaching jobs) and better talent than us there is no point in continuing this discussion.
  21. Come on Ace, don’t join the Debbie Downer side! Am I skeptical of Darnold? Sure. There is still a decent chance he could be good. Put it this way, he is the most talented QB our staff has had to work with. Most of his issues are mental and we can see how good Brady/Rhule really are. It will be fun/interesting to say the least! My main concern was we didn’t sign or draft a capable backup in case he does struggle or get hurt...
  22. So next year we draft jersey number 32!
  23. Let’s simply ask Todd Bowles how he was as a head coach... “the record speaks for itself” knowing he was getting fired. If you think Gase or Bowles are great head coaches why aren’t they ones currently. Is this how desperate your argument has become? Do you think Bowles was a good head coach? https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.northjersey.com/amp/2434173002 You aren’t counting 1st round WRs as starters. Moore started in 2018 (despite what you say) and had 788 yards (not bad for a rookie). Hey that would give him more yards than any Jets WR last year! You attempts are getting simply desperate at this point. Samuel crushes Mims with over 500 yards and 7 TDs. Mims was also a rookie who didn’t start, yet you are eager to include him in the WR talent for the Jets. (I also noticed you didn’t mention CMC as a receiver). I’ll even use your own foolish logic against you. If Flacco was so much better than Darnold then why did Gase bench him for Darnold when he got healthy? Was is a bad coaching move? That would mean Darnold’s coach was no good right? Stop reaching and move on.
