The other day I was thinking about the 4th and inches QB sneak. Could we not just have our RB snap the ball and push forward? Everyone knows what’s coming anyway. If we are worried about Young getting hurt in that play it just seems like an easy solution right?

Pretty sure our staff is just going to adjust the playbook to which QB they think will be the most successful.

JSN paired with him would be sweet. I doubt that happens though… Seriously though if the Texans think Young is the answer at QB and no one else is this draft why wouldn’t they see what the price is? It’s hard to tell what’s legit.

You said his LSU tape was better than Stroud’s UGA, which simply isn’t true. Stroud was playing a great defense and played as good as I’ve seen from any QB last season. It’s just one game though. For example Stroud’s Northwestern tape is far worse than any tape on Young (windstorm or not).

I get it. I watched both games. I live in Knoxville which is definitely SEC country. Stroud was just that guy in that UGA game (kind of like Fields against Clemson his final season). If Stroud played like that every game he would be hands down the top pick. Like other people are saying it’s just one game. I mean there are games where Cousins has looked better than Brady’s worse game. It doesn’t mean he is the better prospect, but you aren’t going to sell me on Young’s LSU game vs Stroud’s UGA. Sorry but that’s just a little too much of Young being flawless which none of them are.

I could see that. It looked like there were some games where Stroud was kind of just “going through the motions.” He kind of has that laid back demeanor and Young injects energy into his team kind of like Cam did. I agree with that. It’s why I have that weird feeling where I might prefer Stroud, but am afraid of passing on Young. I can see more of that “it” factor from Young.

I think this is where people get extreme. Both are solid prospects. Stroud’s UGA game looked better than Young’s worse game, come on now… Young was like 50% with 1 TD and 1 INT where Gibbs had over 6.5 yards a carry. They are PLENTY of other games where Young looked better than Stroud. Plus Stroud had the best WR in college football which definitely helped. There is no need to tear down one to make the other look better.

Just my opinion, but I think Stroud got much better under pressure as the season progressed. Early on he would freak out and throw it away or throw it too far (but seldomly turned the ball over). Once he got exposed to it more he looked more comfortable, finishing with the UGA game were he looked to be on Young’s level. Obviously he needs to show that consistently but that does show me he is learning and trending in the right direction for the pressure issues.

Being a fan is a lot more enjoyable when you just accept that either QB is a great choice. I’m fine with any of the big 3 really. Trust our staff and sit back and enjoy the show.

There can be 2 (or more) great QB prospects in this class. Trying to tear down one prospect to make another look better is pointless. Several of these players have elite attributes and the top 2 can let their tape speak for itself.

You have been fine man. To me you seem like an excited fan who is going to be pumped about our new QB. Keep doing you!

Are the trade down rumors just bull crap right now? Sounds like they are pretty locked in with their choice.

You are probably right, but why not just say it? Also why bring in AR and Stroud for visits? It seems they are fairly confident it’s Young but are still doing some research.

This is easy. Smokescreen first then when all the analysts are picking Young you switch the the little comments. Next test! PS

Dumb take. People on here that don’t want Young are wanting AR or Stroud. Trying to characterize people with different opinions than yours into a negative group is a dangerous thing.
