  1. You know they still get those picks without trading for CMC right? They would have all their picks PLUS the 3 third rounders…
  2. I mean most teams don’t have 3 QBs on the roster. Eason won’t get snatched off our practice squad if we need an emergency one.
  3. IF this is true then I imagine our staff wants to roll with a vet and a rookie next year. They are comfortable with Eason as the practice squad QB for emergencies.
  4. I’m just saying everything is very fluid. Burns may want too much money for example. Especially after hearing what they turned down for him.
  5. They also said CMC wasn't getting traded. It's true until it isn't. Remember it's all very fluid...
  6. It makes me intrigued and also sick to my stomach at the same time.
  7. Problem solved. He also wore a headband...
  8. Stafford had a great team around him as well.
  9. Yeah my point was the 6'4" athletic guys in Cam/Luck had short careers. Then you have Brees with a long career and Russ is still going at his age. I'm just not sure there is a direct correlation with size and injury in the NFL. I might even go as far as the say the biggest guys take more hits (draw less flags and are more prone to try to run through contact) and possibly are more often injured. Trey Lance is another big QB and can't stay healthy. Even looking at WRs, Julio was huge and couldn't stay healthy, Steve Smith was relatively healthy (I remember he broke his arm, but that is kind of a fluke injury) and played a while, Gronk seemed to always be injured as well. While short QBs aren't common as they have become a newer trend, I'm not sure there is a direct correlation with height and injury. I definitely understand your concern though. It's why I have Stroud over Young in my ranking, but if we get Young I won't lose any sleep over it and will be pretty excited.
  10. Yeah it was pretty minor. I think he missed one game and played through the injury a week later against UT and played very well while taking many hits. Injuries are unfortunately going to happen, hell we had one of the biggest, baddest QBs in the league have his carreer end short, Luck was also a good size and had to retire early. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't call many QB runs with a smaller QB, but Young excels in navigating the pocket. I get he is an outlier, but the league has changed a lot to protect these QBs as well. Look how long Brady was able to play and Rodgers is what 38 and getting traded to another team and he isn't huge for a QB, Brees played until he was like 40.
  11. Corral is like 4 inches taller and the same weight. He is built like a high schooler and already had injury issues his last season. I'd prefer Stroud, but Young would definitely intrigue me. He is the best at reading defenses and making adjustments IMO. Honestly if you give him a couple inches he would be the next Burrow/Luck/Lawrence type draft pick.
  12. I love Kasay, just don’t bring up that Super Bowl kick…
  13. All of this plays into the salary cap. It’s just paying money now vs later. It’s why we can’t sign big free agents right now no matter how rich our owner is unless we cut some players or restructure a lot of cap which will hurt next year’s space.
  14. D. Arnold is too close to Darnold. The Huddle can’t handle that…
  15. I don’t think it works that way. It can’t be manipulated by the rich owner’s extra money…
  16. Restructuring Moton is already dipping into next year’s space. Like I said it will be interesting to see how 24s cap space looks after this season…
  17. San Fran traded 3 firsts for Trey Lance 2 years ago and still made a nice playoff push this year. If Lance was able to play in that last playoff game Purdy got injured, who knows what would have happened. If nothing else San Fran shows up that trading up for a top 3 QB isn't as crippling to a franchise as people think. Ask the pretty recent Super Bowl Winners the Eagles and the Rams.
  18. Lol we are fans cheering for a football team, OF COURSE a majority want them to be aggressive. Most football fans want immediate gratification, it's why the 7 year process (a joke) pissed off so many people. It's why a future 1st apparently holds less value that a current.
