  1. Yeah by year 10 it will be “If we can just hire Andy Reid with an All Pro OL, Chase, prime Randy Moss, and Barry Sanders we can probably fix Darnold!”
  2. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/1878171-breaking-down-the-relationship-between-nfl-qbs-and-head-coaches I think HCs are more involved with QBs than you are stating. Sure different staffs are structured differently, but a HC (especially an offensive minded one) is going to be constantly checking in with his QB, meeting with him, and getting his input. Some design offenses strictly based on what kind of QB they have on their roster. If you don't think that plays in the development of a QB, I guess we just have a difference of opinion there.
  3. McDaniel is an offensive guy. He is running schemes making it easy for Tua to get the ball where it needs to be. He understands what it takes to get an offense clicking which obviously helps the QB. He also wanted to get Tua weapons to help him succeed. Something our defensive minded Rivera failed to get done with Cam Newton. Offensive HCs definitely have input in the most important position in sports. If you can't get a QB or develop one then you are losing you job as a HC. Hell I watch some of these guys calls plays on offense. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/ranking_the_offensive_play_caller_for_each_nfl_team/s1__37978942#slide_8 9 of the top 10 play callers are also Head Coaches for their teams. My point is if our coach hires a great OC, he will get plucked away from us. If they are running their own system and even calling their own plays it's way less of a setback to lose an OC.
  4. Honestly, he might need to be someone we look at. He is kind of flying under the radar. He would love to draft someone like Mayer our of Notre Dame. The man loves his TEs.
  5. They know what to look for in QB development and how to help them succeed. It's no coincidence that Tua looks 10x better with McDaniel than he even did with Flores (even when healthy) and Flores was a good coach IMO. Eagles HC is also an offensive guy and Hurts is developing well under his watch. Of course there is always Reid and Mahomes. Look at Colin K with and without Harbaugh. They know what system they want, what players they need, and the right people to hire to help a young QB (of their choice) to develop. I understand what you are saying in the fact that they aren't meeting with the QB and watching every snap of his practice, but they definitely have a part in the development of the potential franchise QB. Sustainability helps a lot too. I think Allen has come back down to Earth a little because Daboll left and he was peaking at the end of last season. Which also reminds me Daniel Jones (while still not great) is looking better with Daboll as his HC.
  6. I'm looking more for a guy that can develop a young QB. Jim Harbaugh did it well with Colin K, Pep Hamilton has done with with Luck (at Stanford and the Colts) and Herbert, The Eagles OC is doing it with Hurts, Lions OC has revived Goff, and the Seahawks OC has revived Geno. If we are convinced we want a defensive guy (which I am against), DeMeco Ryans should be the target. But we will have trouble sustaining a successful offense because the good OCs get plucked away.
  7. Both teams just couldn't stop the run. It's not like he went outside the box to "outcoach" either struggling franchise. Baker hasn't looked any better, PJ was just as streaky, and now Sam was 11/19 which somehow means he was great? We need a coach that can develop young QBs be it Corral or our rookie.
  8. I don’t care for Payton, but giving Wilks another year to prove himself wouldn’t help his court case. The post was “if he sucks” then go get another coach. If he coaches well then he keeps his job.
  9. I took the bait and I’d do it again.
  10. Staubach was 57% in his career. Cam and Fields are 59%. Those are facts that hurt your argument. Maybe Staubach could hit them from anywhere, but the truth is he only did 57% of the time. Go back to your Darnold trolling.
  11. Love and Watson have some chemistry going on. Packers should just IR Rodgers.
  12. Sam can throw a football. Sam can’t read a defense.
  13. Burrow is probably my favorite QB in the league right now. He isn’t flashy. I just can acknowledge QBs that can run can also be effective. I say this as I watch the 9-1 Eagles carve up the Packers with a QB than can run.
  14. That and the simple fact that both Cam and Fields have a higher career completion % than Staubach who he is claiming is more accurate… He is just pulling poo out of his ass like when he said Josh Allen isn’t a dual threat QB or Darnold is more physically talented than Richardson. It’s complete nonsense.
  15. I was mocking him by using his own quote against him. He said Sam was a better physical talent than Richardson. Then backpedaled by saying arm talent is all that matters.
  16. 11/19. You don’t give any other QBs excuses for throwaways or drops. That’s with our team running the ball 46 times. Denver (who is a bad team) was trying to stop our running game and he still only completed 11/19. That’s not a good day for any 5th year veteran… I put him around PJs level. Some good throws but not a consistent QB who will also not protect the ball. He is just Ginger PJ.
  17. He is a walking contradiction. Just stated Darnold had more physical talent than Richardson…. It’s time to start realizing he is like 75% trolling in his posts.
  18. As an Auburn fan, I’d love Tank Bigsby in the late 3rd/early 4th.
  19. He was worse when he had time. Just think you are all happy about 11/19. Wilks was even impressed and mentioned it in the locker room. That’s where Sam is as a player. You limit his throws so he can’t turn it over and celebrate if he is 11/19 with no TOs.
  20. I’ve seen enough of Sam to know how he normally reacts to pressure. Hell sometimes he reacts that way in the pocket. He had nothing to lose today and was still 11/19 which puts him at what 57% accuracy. Richardson is at 55% in his career at Florida and you cry about his inaccurate he is.
  21. If we do land Richardson this Eagles offense would be perfect for him.
  22. They won without CMC contributing much at all. Go figure..
