  1. Give me the Eagles’ OC as our new coach and Minshew as the vet backup that’s familiar with the new coach. Minshew can play until Stroud is ready. Corral can be QB3 as the Eagles have 3 active QBs on the roster. Also the new OC isn’t going to split reps with his top pick and Corral. Is he going to split them with his practice squad QB as well? The offense will be catered to our top pick and he will probably get a bulk of the reps.
  2. Our new HC won’t let an unproven 3rd round pick from a previously failed HC dictate how he handles his top pick. I get you like Corral and I see some potential with him but he is far from a sure thing right now and he desperately need a QB.
  3. Yeah and the last 2 QBs from Oregon were Harrington and Mariotta, do not want Herbert. LSU was Russell so no Burrow!! Such sound logic…
  4. Stroud looks legit, Young looks legit (a little small, but I’ll wait on official measurements), and Levis might be the most NFL ready with a high ceiling. It’s a good year to suck IMO.
  5. So you want Levis from Kentucky? You must have been a big Tim Couch guy right?
  6. He loved the strong arm. Most of been a huge Willis supporter this past offseason. Do you think he was all for Jamarcus Russell and his cannon?
  7. You were stating it was unimpressive because the “Big Ten is trash.” I just wanted to know what conference a QB has to play great in to impress you. Mac did it in the SEC and Pickett did it in the ACC. Are they more impressive?
  8. Yeah and when Burrow was at LSU his team had a bit of a talent advantage . Do not want either..
  9. I think people are letting their hate for OSU cloud their judgement. I get it, I’m not a fan either, but I want us to take the most complete QB with the highest chance of being great.
  10. So only SEC QBs then?? Where did Mahomes play? Big 12? Are they better than the Big Ten?
  11. How terrible… Do not want!!
  12. I haven’t seen any highlights yet, but the Huddle reactions are making me laugh.
  13. We aren’t simply “tanking” as we are ditching the bad contracts and taking the dead cap hit on the chin this year. We need the picks right now to add young, cheap pieces around our rookie QB. I feel like we are going to still be better next season (Better QB play, better HC/OC, young OL gets better, still pieces on defense in Chinn, Horn, Burns, and Brown) while also using it to develop a rookie QB and have our HC implement his system. After that we have a shitload of cap space with hopefully our QB on a rookie deal and our OL all in place. That’s where you want to be to complete your roster and make a run.
  14. That’s mainly because we’ve had such terrible QB play they simply check down more than they try to get the ball downfield accurately. It’s not a recipe for success as we have all seen.
  15. Saying they “hit gold” means that found a rare valuable player. I don’t think we will get a Burrow, but we should get a talented young player to put behind our talented young OL. If we develop him properly we could have our franchise guy. Lawrence is only 6 games in with an actual HC. I’d be happy with his development if I was a Jag fan.
  16. We are taking it on the chin this year so we can hopefully do it the right way. The clearing money for Watson plus dumb contracts screwed us up. Might as well take it in one lump in the year you are developing a rookie QB with a new HC.
  17. If/when CMC gets injured this season all these crying fans are going to be silent.
  18. Stroud, Young, or Levis would possibly be the 2nd most talented QB in Panther's history if you are just looking at raw ability to play the position. Throw in a proper HC to develop them and it could pay dividends for us.
  19. So should we not draft a QB? The Bengals hit gold with Burrow and Lawrence is looking like he could be legit now that he has a coach. Those were the last two 1st over picks that were QBs.
  20. Lawrence is looking better, I need to see Wilson healthy longer, Jones and Zappe did what they were asked in that system, and Fields went to an impossible situation for any rookie QB to develop (no OL, no weapons, and a HC that is mainly DC focused). It takes more than simply drafting a player, you have to give them the ability to succeed. If we get a good offensive HC to pair with our solid OL and young defensive talent, it could be a good environment to develop a rookie QB.
