  1. Watching that game last night has me really thinking. The commanders are everything we hoped the Panthers become under new ownership. Unfortunately, we’ve gone in a completely opposite direction with David Tepper. In one year the commanders having the new owners have been able to completely resurrect their franchise and their franchise quarterback position for the next 15 years because Jaden Daniels looks like the best player on the field last night and the total game changer at the quarterback position. I can’t help but feel angry this morning at what has happened to our franchise. don’t get me wrong I still have hope that Bryce Young will be able to lead this team for the promised land one day, but it’s going to require a ton of help a total rebuild of this roster which probably takes another few years. hate that we couldn’t do it the way that the commanders have done it basically turning around their franchise in one year.
  2. We still have mods? this place feels like the wild wild west compared to what it used to be like
  3. I would stick to Evero for another year and see how it goes.
  4. No sir but what I can do is evaluate the player’s individual performance in full context including the roster, situation, time and place. Bryce is playing good football and is improving almost every week. That’s the reason for optimism. If anything your post about Darnold and Mayfield is proof that even good or great QBs must have the right support structure and situation to reach their potential. That’s the irony in this whole thread is you think it is an argument against Bryce but it’s the opposite, it’s exactly why we must give him an opportunity to develop and build the roster and the culture along the way.
  5. Facts! And funny that the main complaint doubters had about Bryce is he would get passes batted down, could not see the field, couldn’t take the hits. He’s proven them all as fallacies so the goal posts keep moving. Until recently it was about not being able to throw deep and that’s been proven wrong. They’re running out of things to say, so it’s just generic size / arm bull
  6. No I would package a 2nd round and 4th round picks but that’s it
  7. Sam did this and we said “no thanks”
  8. It really is crazy both were on the team at the same time little over two years ago. This team is cursed
  9. Continue to improve in every category and win more games. Be the reason we win those gamed. Hard to quantify exactly because it depends on other factors like defense and receiving options.
  10. Exactly, remember how cooked Baker looked, I think he broke the record for number of passes batted down
  11. Yes they were that’s why they were traded or released. You’re obsessed with size and arm strength, that’s not the problem with this offense.
  12. And there was a reason we gave up on the first two, who played a lot worse in a Panthers uniform so who’s to say if you give up on Bryce he won’t win an MVP somewhere else lol.
  13. That was 7 practice squad players ago
  14. True and Bryce didn’t make that decision for us. No QB was worth that trade, not even Stroud
  15. But we want Bryce to prove he can win but not win so we don’t ruin our draft spot lmao
  16. No he’s not an elite QB but to act like some “elite” QB would elevate this group of receivers is just lunacy. You would see marginal improvement and still not win more than 5-6 games with this roster. You all salivated over Caleb who has a top 5 receiving core and he can’t win more than 4 games. I am sick of fans thirsting over other team’s elite QBs and not giving a chance to build a team and stop being the laughing stock of the NFL.
  17. Thielen is not the problem but the point is he’s our best receiver and would be #3 at best on good teams.
  18. Agreed. But this made me think of Bears drafting Caleb when they had Justin Fields or Jets drafting Wilson when they had Darnold. In both cases these teams gave up too early.
  19. Ah yes back to the keep swinging until you get an elite QB is the strategy of decades long loser franchises like Jets and Browns who have proven that even when you do have a good or great QB you likely won’t even know it because you lack the program culture and strategy to be successful . Chasing QBs never works. How many QBs have the Jets and Browns drafted and failed miserably? Bengals didn’t know Burrow would be this good (many were skeptical of his one great year at LSU, or Ravens with Lamar, Chargers with Herbert, and especially Bills with Allen. A bad franchise would have cut ties with Allen after his first 16-25 games when he looked terrible. You could call it luck and that’s not a strategy. Tepper thought he could play god and create his own luck by outsmarting everyone else and it’s failed miserably. He seems to have finally humbled himself and hopefully understand that it’s most important to build the right culture and build a roster with an actual program philosophy of what you want the team to be. you focus on evaluating talent, drafting well including QBs, and ensure it’s a developmental environment where good becomes great, and great can become elite. It is not time to cut ties with Bryce, you have to at least give it another year, maybe draft another prospect in later rounds if they’re BPA and continue to build. As others have said it’s been 10 years since we knew what a hump even looks like and we’re not even close to it.
  20. I would do that in a heartbeat but I think Jets won’t let him go cheaply
