    The Patriots haven't picked a quality WR in forever (though not nearly as bad as Hurney was) - I think Edelman in 2009 was the last one. If they're interested, some might consider that a sign that no one else should be.

    According to PFF, Mitchell missed 18 tackles in 2013 and that trend definitely continued into 2014. Mitchell was a decent safety, but he wasn't nearly as great as we all remember him being... I think that just goes to show how poorly Carolina's safeties have played in recent years.

    Shockey was a way better blocker than any TE on last year's roster and he could catch. Not saying he isn't perhaps overrated by some Panther fans, but his game was definitely more complete.

    I concede that this was still 10 years ago, but Lucas and Wahle were big-time free agents. Either way though, it's been a long, long time.

    But my Madden franchise hasn't lost a game in 8 seasons... seriously, why doesn't he just make all the players punters before re-signing them? Way cheaper that way.

    Almost like the FO may have known something the fans didn't... To be fair though, Kelly could still come out of this looking like a genius if it all works out. The chances of that just appear to be growing slimmer and sliimer each day.
