I like the optimistic perspective.

I would love for things to be different, but we can't help but see it. I have already been more impressed with how TMac carries himself. It seems he would rather just be a star without putting the work in. Maybe he can be, but I doubt it will be on the field.

I think they just find guys that are most likely to get opportunities and it is an easy pick here with how our linebacker room looks right now.

I wasn't trying to criticize the grammar at all. It's the way he worded it. Sounds like a chore. I would rather him "love" his job. I want him to want it.

That's what I meant with the tuck. It should be muscle memory. I hope he turns out to be the star we all hope him to be. He's a player my wife has attached to, so I am definitely rooting for him.

Trying to do anything I got to? I don't like the way he says that. I want him to work out, but the more I learn about him, the more he seems to just not have that elite mindset. Would love to be proven wrong. On the last highlights from camp I watched, he still wasn't tucking the ball correctly to run. He adjusted, but I want that type of thing to be automatic, not something he has to think about.

It is the time of year for hopium, and I embrace it. I get that. I am biased. I feel I should be. But you know they don't actually pay attention to us. They aren't going to change their opinion of us no matter how much we "win" the off-season until we show it on the field, and I get that angle too. Not like it benefits them to be high on a small market team like us. I am a fan, and I am here to ROOT.

I mean, it could be just me, but I feel we are at hype levels we haven't seen in a LONG time. Now, whether it is warranted or not, remains to be seen, but I am not the least bit upset that they are sprinting down the current highway. I haven't been this optimistic about our roster in a long time. We have some of the best position groups we have had in a few areas. We only have one glaring weakness in my mind. (LB) When was the last time we could say that? Our WR room is so talented we don't know who is making the roster. Our offensive line is essentially fixed. A few years ago, we would have sold our souls just to say that about the line.

I don't know that it is the QBs that should be scared, but the big man certainly gets attention. He gets a lot of double and even triple teams to try to contain him, and that makes everyone else better. He is a scary man on the field.

I don't know that anything would get you excited at this time of year. It's a lot more fun to be optimistic, brother.

What rookies are they claiming Jimmy Horn Jr is cooking? Beating them by 4-5yards sounds crazy. We didn't have any rookie corners? Must be the new safeties, but still. Trevian Thomas ran a 4.45. I keep hearing about Jimmy's insane speed, I just don't understand it. I know game speed is different, and I am excited to see it, but just wow.

I feel like it is only a matter of time for Tepper to find a winning recipe. He wants to win, he just doesn't know how. He is going to roll those dice until he figures it out, and he has a lot of money to burn on rolling dice. Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach. I have seen plenty of coaches or mentors that look like they could never do "the thing" be the best at teaching it.

I only really watch Panthers ball, so not up on his game. I remember a time where a large number of us around here wanted to bring in Minshew to see what he had. Sometimes there are a lot of factors to consider. Clearly Mayfield and Darnold weren't fitting in as well here for whatever reason. I could see Minshew just needed the right fit, based on what little I know about him.
