  1. I just value his resume more than practice. That, coupled with the fact that I don't see us REALLY competing this year (I hope I am wrong), I just don't see spending money on finding THE answer, when kicking is kinda fickle anyway. Isn't Gino Garcia still available? If we somehow KNOW that Fitz is shot, why not pick him up cheap?
  2. Why is there so much kicker hysteria? Let the new kid have a shot. He has the resume. Not like we are winning it all this season anyway. Calm down.
  3. I mean, I realize this is true, but it also hurts my heart, so we are gonna pretend this little convo never happened. Dan Morgan, Luke, TD, Sam Mills, and even Beason will forever be tacklin' fuel for my mind.
  4. I have heard the Spurs mentioned in a lot of the motivational content I consume. Might be a good read. Reading Arnold's book Be Useful right now, though.
  5. That seems to be a common theme, but it makes sense. Dan Morgan was a high volume guy. Liked to be in on the action.
  6. I thought we were one of the only teams playing starters like this. Has that changed?
  7. I feel like Jaycee Horn is a good one. Would love to see a compilation of him vs TMac from camp. Moton is solid. Still...we talkin' bout practice.
  8. Idunno man. I feel like that Shaq gif lately and I don't remember feeling this way in a long time. Maybe I am forgetting the hopium high of 23'. https://tenor.com/view/yes-ayye-zoom-shoulder-shake-gif-14839794
  9. I'm not saying it is smart...I am saying it is the disease of nostalgia. I much prefer this approach. I may change my tune if we are garbage on the field...but we can't be, right?
  10. I understand it. It is just that time of year. We have always been historically above average at linebacker, so this one is an abnormally large pill to swallow. Everyone has a weakness. Just unusual for ours to be LB. I am actually more enthusiastic about this roster and front office than I have been in a very long time. When was the last time we talked about WR being a strength? That alone is exciting.
  11. And we are very upset about it lol We are not known for our patience around here. They are OUR LBs and we want them NOW. (that JG Wentworth commercial lives rent free in my head.)
  12. EA is absolutely terrible and I hate that it is the only choice for an NFL game. I heard a while back they were letting the license expire and that was changing because their head is so big they think they don't need it. I don't know why they have this attitude, but I would love a new edition of NFL2K or even Blitz.
  13. I know it is a joke, but I will answer it anyway. Madden doesn't even consider that a real position. It hurts my heart to cut him every time I start a franchise because he is rated a 37 overall or something ridiculous.
  14. Here is an article from Panthers Wire as well. https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/08/03/panthers-nfl-sign-krys-barnes-tuasivi-nomura/85500913007/
  15. We signed Krys Barnes from Arizona. Someone tell me how to feel. PFF profile says not too great. https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/krys-barnes/42548
  16. That's why I was trying to post to give context. Some people think good players should be 99. At the beginning of the year, you get what are called core elites. Being a 99 at the start of the year is quite the privilege, so Brown being so high is an honor. I believe he is top 3 for DTs this year.
  17. I saw he was 1 out of 3, but didn't the article I saw didn't specify what goal posts they were using. I assumed they were still using the narrows. We talkin' about practice. AllenIverson.gif
  18. Yeah, technically what it is called. At 80 overall, cards get a red border and are considered elites.
  19. As a Madden player, for those who aren't 80 and above is seen as "elite". 70 and above are playable.
  20. Is he actually even missing kicks? All I have heard is that he missing on the skinny posts, and that if it were regulation, he would have made it.
  21. I don't understand what some of you are complaining about with not drafting a kicker. What kicker do you guys think we missed out on with only two selected in the draft? Fitz was like #2 or #3 in the rankings. Unless you think we missed on Borregales, which we would have had to use a 5th round pick to get, I don't see what the argument is here. We got our guy without using a draft pick. Give him a chance.
  22. I said generally. We got Jimmy Horn with a 6th. Would you rather have drafted a kicker instead of getting Jimmy? Like I said, we still got one of the top kickers available. I don't know why so many are hating on the kid. Give him a chance. He has quite the resume. Dogging him before he even steps on the field? Butker is a little nutty from what I hear.
  23. Generally you don't draft kickers. Only two were selected this year in the draft. We still got one of the top prospects available.
  24. I know our offense was stalling, and that is not on Eddy, but I just feel you shouldn't be making decisions based on your lack of confidence in your kicker. If it is a situation you need a field goal, you shouldn't be hesitating to send your guy out. We were, and that is very telling. If you can't trust him there, is he really the guy you want when the game is on the line? That is not even getting into the attitude. I am ready to be done with Eddy.
  25. I feel like hindsight is getting the best of you here. We were consistently complaining about Eddy's leg at that time. He's not worth paying top dollar. We have had a decent track record on picking kickers that are good enough. Automatic up to 40 is exactly the problem. He is good from less than 40, but that isn't a high bar.
