  1. Everyone get your paper bags ready! At least we are tanking correctly this time
  2. 2 years, 18 mill?? That's about 10 million more than I think he is worth
  3. Good. We need to get this loser stench all of these players have off our team
  4. This guy seriously predicts us to have a better record than 4 other teams in the NFL??? I think this dude lost all credibility right there
  5. No team is giving a 2025 second and 2026 first for him if this was the best offer we got... Not sure what planet you live on. Maybe a team would have given us a 2025 first for him, but if that team was like the Lions, you are talking about a pick that would have been very late in the first round likely. I don't see a team that was bad this year giving up a first rounder next year instead of a second rounder this year if they assume they will be a mediocre at best team next year.
  6. As depressing as the value is we got back from losing some of our best players, I think our front office finally realizes we are minimum 3 years away from being an average or better team. Many of these players would be in their 30s by the time we are relevant Now it's a matter of seeing if our front office is going to give Bryce a better o-line/weapons or if they have given up on him and will let him be tank Commander to our next QB in 2025. Anyways, everyone should enjoy being able to take next year off from watching the Panthers and tuning in for the 2025 draft
  7. To all the people saying we will guaranteed get at least a first for burns, here is me saying I told you so... The fact many of us thought we would get a first rounder + either a somewhat good player or a 3rd/4th rounder was even more foolish. Good for Burns though - he found a team foolish enough to give him a crazy contract.
  8. Same. Everyone points to his Georgia game as the game that sold them on him being an elite QB, but I still think that Utah bowl game the previous year was the best I saw him look at QB. I know Utah's defense was far worse than Georgia's, but the pinpoint throws he made that game despite his defense not being able to stop a nosebleed and the run game being just mediocre had me sold on him then.
  9. They all rated him lower because of execs' fascination with the stupid S2 test and thinking that BY was going to be the next coming of Manning, Brees, and Brady with superior football intellect because of his high score on said test that he had been taking since high school. Unfortunately he has a noodle arm, terrible footwork, and sub-par accuracy. I hope that somehow changes and he can be as good as Stroud, but I'm still pissed we didn't draft Stroud. People just assumed he was a bum (I think there were several "experts" that had Stroud being the 4th or 5th QB picked) because he was throwing to elite receivers. The dude was still dropping dimes on 20-30 yard corner routes like it was a walk in the park (watch his Utah bowl game).
  10. And... Winning this division really doesn't mean much. That is like being crowned a dwarf among midgets... And giving Cousins a 4 year dear is pretty crazy at his age + coming off a major injury. I see a lot of dead cap when they probably cut him after year 3. Regardless, it doesn't change our plans. Get rid of bloated contracts/dead weight players, acquire draft picks if possible, and embrace the tank. We should have our new QB come draft time next year.
  11. Bury one on this PP. I'm tired of crap no name goalies playing the game of their life against us
  12. Gonna have to cling on to this 1 goal lead. Shut it down boys
  13. Interesting - sounds like the type of player that doesn't fit rods system. Hopefully a change of scenery/scheme can change that
  14. Not random - just sucks when we control TOA and SOG in most games and struggle to put the puck in the net way more than those stats would indicate
  15. We struggle to score in way too many games...
  16. I think going beyond the price it would cost for his contract, I would argue a better question to ask is will we be a contender by the end of his contract. I am pretty confident in saying we will be a bottom 5 team the next 2 seasons with how void of talent we are (with or without Burns). If we aren't relevant until the last year of his deal, will that deal truly have been worth it? I am in the house of we just need to tear everything down and start anew. I am fine with building the defense around Brown, Luvu (seems like he wants to still be here and hopefully a team friendly contract), and Horn (I still say to extend Horn now while we can get him cheap and hope the injury bugaboo the last 2 seasons goes away) while trying to figure out some type of offensive identify. Try and get rid of any bad cap contracts (off to a good start with that), build our cap up, and look at making our splash signings when we get a new QB.
  17. Yep... Unfortunately we need to nail most of our picks the next 2 drafts to fight our way back to mediocrity. We will win maybe 4 games next year, only because being bad lady season lets us face a lot of other turd teams
  18. I can definitely get behind this. I still think Aho and Jarvis play very well together. Haven't watched much, but how often have we run svech, aho, and Jarvis together? We definitely need another top 6 forward though. Then either sit Drury or KK
  19. That is excellent news!!! That hopefully means there will be a few less road fans at our home games, because we sure as hell know nobody is paying money to see our dumpster fire of a team
  20. Not necessarily dominating us, moreso they always seem to win against us. I could be wrong though
  21. If a team wants to give us a 1st, 3rd, and an above average player, I'll be giddy. I just have to imagine teams realize he is a big minus in the run game and even when he does win his pass rush battle, misses the sack on the QB half of the time. I hope I'm wrong and teams give us a ton for him, but I assume other teams don't have fitterer as their GM...
  22. Not buying it. Honestly, if teams are offering a first for him, I have to imagine our front office would accept that in a heartbeat. Our front office knows he is not part of the future and want to get rid of him as soon as possible. I honestly think they would say yes to the first team that offered them a first rounder. I think a 2nd rounder from a top tier team is the best we can get, so I assume a pick between 50-60
  23. There is no way in hell the Lions are giving up a 1st, day 3 pick, and Williams for Burns. Can't imagine there is a team stupid enough to offer anything similar to that trade also. I honestly don't think any team would offer us a 1st round pick now for Burns. If Sweat, who is a significantly better DE/OLB, was gotten for a 2nd, I think a 2nd is probably the best we will get for Burns now.
