  1. XL honestly looks like a loss cause to me. Might explain more why we took Tet at 8
  2. Brian Burns was nothing close to a tweener... He just didn't put on muscle mass to actually play the run well
  3. Dude seems to have a good work ethic and I think he can give problems to teams rushing from the edge. The real question is he an every down player on a situational passing down rusher
  4. Man, I was hoping Atlanta would take someone dumb here. I think Walker needs a creative defensive mind to make him great because of his tweener build.
  5. I can live with this if they would have taken Graham if he dropped. If Tet can learn how to beat physical press WRs, I will like the pick a lot more. I think Canales is clever enough to know how to utilize him best. I'm curious if he will work out best for us in the slot
  6. Colts drafting position need over BPA - that will probably cost them
  7. Brock Bowers was probably the most talented TE drafted this century. No tight end should be getting compared to him. Warren is like a Swiss army knife that can play te and fb. He has a lot of red flag things he needs to work on for me though to be a great TE in the NFL though - something that should never be picked at #8
  8. Even worse, some douche on this forum was saying we would be an idiot not to draft him and guaranteed he would go top 10 The dude also pooed every post I said that I rated him as late 1st round talent Also not surprised loveland went before him
  9. Mike Evans was a strong, physical receiver in college that took advantage of his height and strength to get open. Tet does not play similar to Mike Evans at all IMO (at least in college). Still worry about his ability to beat the press and his top end speed. Hope I'm wrong, but I don't love the pick. Granted, I didn't really love anyone at 8
  10. T-minus 5 seconds before we go to commercial on our pick
  11. Our hat trick hero friend against Boston Max Domi wins it in OT for Toronto
  12. Ghostbear has been our best skater through 2 games so far IMO
  13. I can throw crap on the wall and see if it sticks also. I'll say Abdul Carter is drafted by the Panthers at 8. Doesn't mean it's going to happen...
  14. Arizona state was definitely more creative getting a mismatch on skattebo in the passing game. Honestly, I thought that was the most impressive thing about skattebo that game (that and his ability to stay up after first contact). I still don't think Texas' defense was particularly great and was a bit overrated. They managed to avoid the better offensive teams (at least passing ones) in the SEC. But yeah, I still wouldn't draft a running back very high unless they are a freak athlete like Barkley or elite at running and receiving the ball like CMC
  15. That's the game you're going to go by when Penn State has an elite front 7 vs. a much worse Boise State oline...Teams were just not able to run against Penn State this year Not saying Jeanty is the greatest thing, but the talent disparity between those two teams was probably the biggest in the CFP behind maybe Penn State vs SMU.
  16. If we are looking for yac ability, then go for somebody like Jaylin Noel outta Iowa State in the 2nd. He gives me zay flower vibes and has produced throughout college. Won't argue about lack of vision. Unfortunately fitterer was a dumb ass and left this team void if talent when he got fired.
  17. The way they looked pre draft, yes. Some are hits, some are not. But yes, they all displayed similar talent levels.
  18. I swear if I see one more idiot that posts something like this and doesn't check what year I joined this forum... He literally averaged less than 3.5 ypc the year I created this profile and had some really bad fumbles that cost us games. Yet... this organization thought it was a better idea to keep giving him the rock than give CMC more touches his rookie year. Pretty sure everyone on this forum with half a brain cell knew he was washed... Sorry, everyone except you. You said we need (what I presume to be) an elite TE if you want us taking Warren at eight to address "Bryce's glaring needs". We just invested about 150 million in the oline and he had one of the best olines last year. It isn't really realistic we keep spending every dollar we have and every high draft pick we have on offense while our defense continues to set records for futility. If we trade down and take Warren in the 20s, I can live with it. Using a top 8 pick on a guy I have a late 1st round grade on while doubly not drafting at a position of need is the kind of crap I expect our front office to do sadly. And you say Kelce, Olsen, and Witten aren't getting open on athleticism yet fail to mention that all 3 of them are/were elite route runners t. Warren's route running is not great (as of right now) and is something he is going to have to work a ton on. Those 3 dudes also got drafted nowhere near #8, which really argues my point of you can find good tight ends in later rounds. This draft is very deep at tight end. At the end of the day, I think Warren is closer in current ability to tight ends along the line of Kincaid, LaPorta, Freiermuth, Hunter Henry, etc. than he is Bowers, Pitts (up this high because of freakish athleticism), and Tony Gonzalez. Those 3 justifiably should have been top 10 picks in the draft.
  19. I want us to come out with the same energy in the first period as game 1. We completely outmatched them that period and the Devils may have had 1 scoring chance the entire period
  20. At some point, we need to stop saying "if only we had X player for Bryce Young". We drafted him number 1 overall - he shouldn't need a top 10 player at every position on offense. If he does, then he isn't the guy And if we are convinced for some reason we do need a tight end for Bryce, I want one that can stretch the field vertically down the seam. That is definitely not Warren
