Taylor Moton set to play in 100th consecutive game
Carolina Cajun replied to Tbe's topic in Carolina Panthers
I wouldn't go too far, I'd say oher was #3, and before his career ending concussion was definitely a very good tackle. Problem was the freak concussion that legit ended his career. Now after that, woof. -
Currently. Im not saying he'll turn into gods gift to fans everywhere, but Seeing how much Will Grier progressed shocked me so much that I legit think Corral could eventually turn it around. That said, it will take a Will Grier level of progress to make that happen (IE realizing he didn't put enough effort in early to understand the game at the NFL Level). He does still have raw skills, he just doesnt understand the NFL game and maybe after a few years on Practice squads he can turn that around.

Chuba was running so well and sanders just wasn't. No clue why we didn't feed him more and not just on obvious first down runs.
-
Jake was Definitely a good QB. Not elite, but good during his heyday.
-
Generally speaking he looks uncomfortable and that likely comes from the fact has not used to losing and even more so isn't used to losing and immediately having a press conference. I did take away that he is pretty hard on himself which I think will be a good thing as long as he doesn't let that destroy himself. Last thing, I will say that he needs to contact a speech coach. I don't mean that like has poorly spoken, has definitely well spoken, but he has a word crutch ("You know") and some coaching can help him break that habit.

Sanders was the most disappointing part of the game to me. It honestly wasnt even just about the burst or speed, his vision seemed truly awful. literally missed holes and ran straight into his blockers multiple times.
-
Its gonna be like CMC, never healthy, then we'll trade him to a contender for like a 4th round and a bag of cheetos then hes gonna be an all pro for the next 20 years with no more injuries.

4-13. I saw nothing to give me any hope.

He's the schrodinger cat of this list. He his good, bad, and neither, but we'll never know because he's never healthy.

his vision has been the most disappointing thing to me. Running into linemen and missing holes has been very concerning. -

I've been wholly unimpressed by Sanders so far -

true, but the passive running by almost cost us 15 yards because it wasnt a clear cut down by contact. That giving up after the INT was very Kelvin Benjamin-esque -

I know Bryce made a bad throw, but man...our recievers are complete dog poo. Literally zero separation or fight for the ball. -

If atlanta had gotten a QB this offseason I would have believed their hype, but Ridder is not an NFL Level starter -
I am excited to see the team Sunday and see what we actually have. That said, the burns deal, chark being out, bad o line play returning, and lastly not even seeing a single snap from sanders makes me and other people go "welp, gonna be a long season". Think about this, the top 2 offensive weapons we brought in to help young didn't even really play during preseason. All of that can be corrected before we even have a game at home if they look good in Atlanta and quell a lot of fears.

Defense gives up 13 points and they still lose...Nice to see the Matt Rhule gameplan is still active.

On top of that, the sentiment that "nobody said frank didn't deserve the job" has the attention span of a goldfish. TONS of people were HIGHLY critical of Reichs hiring. I remember because I'm older than 6 months old.

In 2013, 2015, and 2016 he had 39 Kickoff returns for Zero touchdowns with a long return of 59 yards, so there was one good return Im guessing. As for punts, 82 punt returns with yet again zero touchdowns with a long in that span of 41 yards. Was he decent? Sure, but he was not elite, not even a little.
-
It ALWAYS seems like we dont have a good returner. Was the last elite returner we had Steve smith in 2003?
-
LOL, Just went and looked into him since I didnt know much about him, his freaking Draft profile has his NFL Comparison is Cam Irving.

IM SO HAPPY!!! it actually happened! -
Burying the team after 2 preseason games is just as bad as predicting a super bowl. I still stand by that this roster is between 7-10 and 10-7. THAT is not based on last year, THAT is based on talent on the roster. Moton got paid like a very good tackle, Icky was a top LT pick and should be growing into becoming elite. Jaycee Horn should be growing, Brian burns, Derek brown. Theres too many names to mention. Fact is this is a playoff level roster, but theres 1 catch and its not Bryce young. How healthy can we stay, its that simple, its always that simple and it always will be that simple. Teams that stay healthy in our talent level position make the playoffs, you see it literally every single season, but if we have even a few key injuries, the season is tanked.
