  1. The NFL is going after DirecTV for deceptive advertising. The NFL released a statement to the new Kelce Directv ad saying: “YouTube and YouTube TV are the only place to go for fans at home wanting to subscribe to NFL Sunday Ticket. We are aware of consumer confusion resulting from advertising in the marketplace. The NFL wants its millions of fans to know where to get NFL Sunday Ticket and that we stand against deceptive advertising." In response, DirecTV said Sunday Ticket can be accessed through the YouTube TV app on the DirecTV service.
  2. there are 11 pages of comments in advance of the Week 1 game. Seems like excitement is brewing
  3. Nobody ever said you needed to buy YouTube TV to get Sunday Ticket. You get a discount if you had YTTV, but ST is available separately -- it's purchased as a separate YouTube Channel. Totally understand that there is confusion in the marketing of "Youtube" vs "Youtube TV". It's horrible branding from a consumer viewpoint. DirecTV is advertising that their users can watch ST, but it's because you can use the YouTube APP on the DirecTV boxes. You still need to buy ST from YouTube, separate from DirecTV. If you did drop satellite for YouTube TV, I'd say you probably did the right thing, pricewise.
  4. Sunday Ticket will be offering 45m-long condensed versions of the games starting at midnight ET the day the game airs. No ads and edited to just the action on the field. So if you miss a game (or, want to zip through for a specific highlight), this is another way to get there.
  5. Uh... They're not wrong? The Panthers could surprise the league with a playoff run, or not, that’s just how this stuff goes. https://www.theonion.com/2023-nfl-season-preview-nfc-1850806239/slides/81 Also, not that funny a piece for a comedy site. They could have been funnier across the board
  6. Explains why he seemed comfortable doing a walk-n-talk opener and leading the talks. Its definitely seems more podcast-like relaxed on the set. If they're only going to have about 40 minutes to showcase 16 game summaries by NFL Films due to commercial breaks, that would be... uh... 2 major games @ 3 min each, 10 games @ 2 min each, 4 games @ 1 min... that will leave just 10 minutes of time to fill. Totally doable
  7. Stupid local CW needs to fix their commercial insertion timing. Seems to cut the show off mid-segment. Hopefully this is fixable in future episodes
  8. Oooh, Chad has some things to say about Vikings coaching their rookie WR.... big contrast to the Reich article shared earlier in coaching styles, and Chad did not seems to be a fan.
  9. It's not so bad...yet. they're having fun chatting.
  10. Airs Tuesday nights on the CW at 8p. For once, no cable subscription needed to catch "the show the pros watch" It's definitely been revamped from the SHO version, which seemed to have gotten too full of themselves. Epi 1 is covering the Super Bowl so far, and it's been good conversations. The hosts need a bit more polish, but some of their convo has sounded less rehearsed and more player-to-player rather than studio analysts. One segment in, and what I thought would be a train wreck of new-to-TV people isn't so bad. Chad Ochocinco is the elder statesman of the show Chris Long, Jay Cutler, Ryan Clark, Channing Crowder round out the panel Looking forward to what they'll do once the season starts. Hopefully with commercial breaks, they can focus more on games and less filler talk like the previous versions resorted to.
  11. That's what one website is saying. https://bvmsports.com/2023/09/06/5-most-likely-first-year-2024-pro-football-hof-inductees/7/
  12. Did Burns participate in today's practice? That would be an indicator of readiness to play for Atlanta vs not.
  13. fixed that for you. we have disproved the "small market" comments often. It's not true.
  14. there was a segment on CBS THIS MORNING this past sunday (or whatever the show is called), highlighting how important trades-people are (and how much $$$ they make)
  15. There’s a free-to-stream channel called Roku Channel (bundled with all Roku devices, but not Roku required to watch) has lots of good stuff in general, like the Weird Al movie
  16. have heard good things about the Doc. on the watch queue
  17. Atlanta is relatively fan friendly on game days. You shouldn't be too concerned about poor Marta interactions. (Pretty much the whole NFC South is pleasant enough to wear Panthers colors in - if you are outwardly "fun" that will win more points than not)
  18. You don't need to subscribe to YTTv for Sunday ticket.
  19. You can DM me also. New codes are shared every 2 weeks. We need more Panthers-interacting content over there It is an interesting set of available tools on that platform, for those interested in diving into the techie space. What's nice is you're not forced to have a Home Feed of things you have zero interest in. You can make your home feed be (almost literally) anything you want it to be -- and as many different home feeds as you'd like
  20. SheerID should be able to instantly verify most students. If not, SheerID will request an upload of additional documents to show proof of enrollment, such as a school ID card with an expiration date, a class schedule, or a tuition receipt. Reviews of US students should take about 20m. Overseas institutions may take up to 48 hours
  21. Student/college plan announced: $109 for the season Requirements to sign up: - 18+ years old - Be enrolled as a student at an accredited college or university. - Be verified as a student by SheerID. YouTube also announced that they will offer the option for individuals who have already purchased NFL Sunday Ticket to switch to the student plan by contacting support.
  22. Didn't read the official list, but Minnesota is #1 surprises me. I figured Atlanta would outrank everyone on concession prices alone.
  23. An LOL from conversations with others: Them: How big is Bryce? Me: Around 5' 10", probably 120 lbs [laughs] T: No way, he's gotta be 6' 2". [ checks wikipedia ] holy cow, he is 5' 10". Maybe 5' 11" with pads on. Me: The jokers online say he'll need a step stool to see over the center T: So what do you figure, the Panthers tried to win a super bowl with a #1 draft pick in Cam who was a pretty imposing player on the field... and they said, well, that didn't work so let's try the exact opposite player size with your next #1 pick?
