  1. I agree. If we can’t get a QB, we’re in prime position @ 8 to shore up OT or a blue chip defensive prospect. We need to get out of the retread/reclamation business if we want sustained success.
  2. Might as well re-sign Okung. Too long an injury history with Fisher.
  3. We have too many needs on the roster NOT to go BPA. Reaching for a player for the sake of filling a need e.g. QB is never good.
  4. I don’t think him or Norwell are worth bringing back after being virtually non-existent once they left.
  5. Yup...Double T was one of our “hog-mollies”
  6. Morestead would be a nice luxury to have. Unfortunately, we have a roster with more than a few holes including a major ? @ QB at the moment.
  7. Bad break for Palardy. Hope he lands on his feet and wish him the best wherever he lands. On the other hand, it’s good to see the Panthers making good business decisions. Charlton will be a good one for us and cap saving is critical this offseason.
  8. If we can’t get Lance or Fields, I’m okay with waiting until ‘22 for the next crop of signal callers. There should be less competition with all the QB movement this year. But yeah Lance is my top choice @ 8.
  9. I see your point but cutting Apple probably had more to do with work ethic issues and attitude which were problems at his previous stops.
  10. A good move to bring an experienced DL coach on board. Okam has a good resume but limited pro experience and Knighton, with limited coaching experience. Both can learn from him. Solid move by the Panthers.
  11. Age and injuries have caught up with him and he was pretty much a one-tricky pony before that.
  12. ^This. You nailed it sir. Thank you!!! And that’s a terrible trade for a rookie QB other than Lawrence or Watson.
  13. Careful. We don’t want another Larry Johnson contract fiasco, do we? He is the best thing to happen to this team in awhile. Kid is really special!!!
  14. True but WFT was the worse team on the field that day. We couldn’t have lost to them even if we wanted to.
  15. Would be ecstatic to see him in a Panthers uni but I just can’t see having the assets to acquire him without mortgaging the future of the team. He’d be walking out of the frying pan into the fire IMO.
  16. I think a team like Indy would be in the catbird seat for Stafford’s services. They’re a QB shy of being in the playoffs again and Reich is a QB’s guru and good HC.
  17. Agreed. It would be awesome if it fell that way but I can’t see Dolphins or the Bengals passing on Sewell. Same for the Jets if they stick with Darnold.
  18. You make some good points bugs. I hope the days of spending $$$ for players past their prime, injury-prone, etc. are behind us. And I hope we can replicate last year’s draft success going forward.
  19. A refreshing change for sure. Don’t get me wrong - I don’t want adapt the Saints’ approach of signing whoever and damn the salary cap but it would be nice to know we’re going to be as proactive and aggressive as we fiscally can be competitive.
