I would have passed on QBs all together this draft because I saw this train wreck coming. Admittedly, it's even worse than I envisioned. Impatient owner, brand new staff, no weapons and then you top it off with a rookie QB? That's a turd topping on a hot trash sundae right there.

All? No, just the most important roles. Some lower level staffers were allowed to be picked by the guys the would be reporting to. STs and OL coaches were holdovers at he request of the front office.

The only thing that's going to make a difference is getting the defense healthy, OGs healthy and hope we can run the ball while keeping opponents under 21 points. Thomas Brown ain't putting 40+ points on anyone and that's where our defense is at right now.

Both highlights are a heaves straight down the field. Problem being that we don't have elite WRs with elite speed and he has super clean pockets with ample time in those clips. It's almost like a 7-on-7 drill in those examples. Even the weakest arm QB in NFL (if there was such a metric) can toss it 50 yards in the air under optimal circumstances. Can he do it from a muddy pocket, unable to climb the pocket and in a tight window? He hasn't shown that ability yet in the NFL.

Context. I know he can't...not at this level. I was saying that it's a good thing he didn't go to a vertical, deep shot team. He would definitely flame out in that type of offense.

Bryce needs a strong supporting cast to succeed. We don't have it here, therefore we likely won't know for several years until we get him weapons or he goes to another team. He's not good enough, especially at this stage of his early career, to carry a team on his back.

The problem with Frank is he didn't want to piss off his new boss and went along with Tepper's choice of QB.

This is going to piss a lot of people off, but we are going to have to-full tilt-invest in the run game. Play action is the only way this passing attack is going to get any life to it. We've got to make teams condense the box in order for any of our WRs (not named Adam Thielen) to get open and less bodies in secondary to account for giving Bryce easier throws. Until we can get the rushing attack in high gear, our passing game will continue to suffer.

I like the Flutie comp. Garcia had a ton of moxie and the those 49er teams were pretty good too. In an ideal situation and Bryce gets some dawg in him, the Garcia comp could be apt.

I blame the team. Bryce is on the team. He's the starting QB and lead us to a whopping 14 points. There's a trend here being we can't stretch the field and teams realize that. He's not solely to blame, but he can't be held blameless either.

And veteran QBs even as mediocre as they were. No, Rhule sucked, period. Frank is charged with a rebuild no matter how he twists himself into a pretzel to call it otherwise.

My comp would be Ty Detmer in his two seasons with Philly. Not a horrible QB and very serviceable, but not your franchise QB.

They wanted a point guard, they got a point guard. In the right offense, Bryce could be very good. In an offense that's about taking shots down field and going vertical versus horizontal...he'll bust.
