  1. I'm shooting for: 1) QB 2) OT 3 CB 4) C 5) MLB 5B (comp pick) DL 6) TE/OG
  2. Went heavy on the 'D' again, eh? Nothing wrong with that, but I personally am giving the edge to the offense this year...a 4-3 split.
  3. Not uncommon at all. The idea that Fields is the unquestioned QB2 has long been in doubt. Lol at idea Myers will take Fields #1 because of the OSU connection.
  4. At this point, I'm in a rut. No matter which simulator I use, they all end up similar. That is why the all-star games and Combine are necessary to shake up a majority of the Big Boards. Right now, they all are fairly static.
  5. Again, If we get two extra picks, I'm happy. I get a DL that otherwise I wouldn't have drafted and either a very late OG or TE, neither of which will likely make the team anyways.
  6. You are correct and the Texans know that as well. It's not like they will forfiet all the games. In that scenario they take a flier on a 1B type guy and roll with it. At the end of the day, holding out only hurts Watson.
  7. I actually think 'First Pick' is better than the 'Draft Machine', which seems to be a favorite here at the Huddle for some reason. 'Fan Speak' is by far the most realistic.
  8. Ding , Ding, we have a winner! The whole idea that Watson created this sh!t storm and has final say is Madden-esque at best. Dude decided to upset the apple cart (COMPLETELY his prerogative) but to assume he has 100% say in his future is delusional at best. He is under a CONTRACT.
  9. Heck, if we end up with 8 picks I'll be happy. The extra pick is either a K, TE, or DT.
  10. Yes, we are currently in line for an extra 5th. However, we lost our 7th...which is to say we lost a good street FA.
  11. PLEASE take the job if offered Eric so the Huddle can get on with their lives!
  12. I'm still amazed that people think adding Bridgewater moves the trade needle one centimeter.
  13. I have 7 teams that should be ahead of us before we even enter the conversation: Dolphins, Jets both already mentioned) Patriots, No Names, Broncos, 49ers and Cowboys.
  14. The relationship has soured so much as long as the trade isn't within the division, they shouldn't blink an eye at dealing with another AFC team.
  15. I get it, but if he REALLY wants out of Houston that bad, he's not going to be too choosy. That was my point. Watson is going to have some say, but ultimately he's going to take some offer that the Texans are comfortable with to. The Texans can play hardball as well.
  16. So, he wants out of Houston so bad that he'll refuse to get traded to some team...ANY team? Agreed he has to waive the 'no trade' clause, but if he has a ticket out of Houston I doubt he'll turn it down even if it were to a crumby team such as the Jets.
  17. ...and watch the asking price increase. If we don't have the ammunition now, just wait until the negotiations get heated between the handful of teams that can actually pull off the trade.
  18. The first four yes, and those were low draft picks because this team was decent. You only get CMC and Brown when you suck. So if you trade a few of our current building block and are decent, you get okay draft position, which you get decent players.
  19. I'm for drafting a MLB, just not at #8. Parsons is no Luke...very good, but not a generational-type talent.
  20. Draft picks #7, #10, #24 and #199 of the remaining QBs in the playoffs. Watson was a 12th pick. So it comes down to skills, coaching and organizational decisions that determines a QBs success. Yes, there are some busts, but many times guys drafted to be franchise QBs are let down by their organization rather than just not being all that good themselves.
  21. You could be right there, yet a team like the Panthers that doesn't have nearly the resources are going to actually pull off the deal?
