Waffle House! I ain't cooking tomorrow.

Clemson orange? If so, you must live in the upstate of SC where I reside too. While the Gamecocks program is an utter joke, I have to come to appreciate their fan base's resilience by continuing trot out the Gamecock swag to show their team 'pride', mainly because breaks up the sea of orange that I am bombarded with on a daily basis.

We had better win this week. I can't stand the thought losing back-to-back games against teams/fan bases I loath immensely. Philly doesn't crack the top 3 despised teams, but definitely top 5.

It's still too early for me. I've got a few prospects, but none are head and shoulders above the one another this far out.
-
I don't have PFF to see how he's grading out and his stats for this season thus far. As a team, State is giving up just under 2 sacks a games, but I can't find a source (for free) where I can get the breakdown of that info by player. My most liked scouting/daft site has him as the #2 LG prospect and ranked in the mid-twenties range right now. Hopefully, about where we should realistically be picking in the draft. Maybe Christensen will be the real deal at LT and we can draft this dude to solidify Darnold's blindside for years to come.

And thus the invention of the 'man cave'.

Local guy too. Check out his blocking stats...pretty impressive. Pancakes anyone?
-
Yup, he's a stud. He's only been playing LT for two seasons. Traditionally he's been a G. He's given up a few sacks, but he talent is undeniable. I think he'll slip as a tackle unless someone drafts him as a G. I hope so, because his arrow is only pointing up and with more coaching and more reps at LT, I think he's going to be a franchise LT.

Late day 3 picks are purely flyer-type guys, but he has potential. He is still a project, but won't improve our situation right now.
-
Paradis isn't moving out of the lineup this year unless injured. The best thing we can do is shore up the guys next to him.
-
Unless Brown has gotten much better in pass protection, he should NOT be in the line up. He got eaten alive at the Senior Bowl in pass drills. He's a road grader at this point. That doesn't mean he hasn't or couldn't get better, but that's the reason he fell so far in the draft after being projected as one of the top guards. Some say we got him as a steal on day 3, but was he really a steal or did he get exposed? I say the later. It's rare guys fall that far after being hyped unless a serious flaw in their game gets exposed or medical/personal red flags. He wasn't injured or had any off-the-field issues, so there's only one reason left.

Going left to right: Moton, Irvin, Paradis, Scott, Christensen

We had drunk D in the second half... couldn't stand up to the task.
-
Maybe he should try playing minor league baseball for a White Sox affiliate?
-
The next two games are at home. As long as the defense gets right, we should be able to take care of business without him before heading back out on the road with a healthy CMC.

Here are your OL Free Agents after this season

Is there a FREE site that you can get college players grades? I really want to see some of these LTs grades that are coming out in this year's draft. -

Yep, throw in Paradis for a ham and cheese sandwich. With inflation at the grocery store no team will take that offer. Who am I kidding? -
The day after, I can't help but be upset with Snow...
45catfan replied to Proudiddy's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Rhule regime is no different than the Rivera and Fox eras...can't make adjustments during or after halftime. We have historically sucked in the 3rd quarter; nothing has changed. -
Can we rent some O-linemen? Otherwise, those stretch of games might not be as winnable as they look.
-
I'd rather this defense get their humble pie NOW than later in the year. This is WAYYYY too early to peak. This really young group got exposed yesterday and that's okay. It will be a learning tool going forward. I have no doubt they will bounce back. I had no delusions of going 17-0. Study, learn and benefit from it. Coach Snow needed this too. He has to draw up counter-scheme to what the League now sees as the blue print to attack our defense. Again, better early in the season than late to make these adjustments. If a team gets exposed late in the year, they are what they are at that point and it's difficult to shift gears.

I'm sorry but this isn't a winning record team.

I'd say you are probably wrong. We caught a hot Dallas team, at home, and we were coming off a week of upheaval with several players. Call it an excuse if you want, but it's a fact. There was no way we were going to adequately replace Burris, Horn, CMC and Arnold in a week. To top it off, throwing a dude out there in Henderson that had only been here a few days. In short, I'm not hitting the panic button over one bad game. Yes, everyone knows our OL is bad. We can scheme around it to a degree especially when we get CMC back. Just about every team in the NFL gets humbled throughout the season at some point. Dallas will get theirs too, I'm sure. We just have to figure out how to duct tape that OL for the rest of this year, it is what it is until the offseason. -

A one-score game loss on the road is nothing to agonize over. People can say the failed come back was in "garbage time" but the last I checked, Dallas didn't sub in their second string defense en masse. It was a matter of too little, too late. -
It’s Official….Sam D was worth the trade.
45catfan replied to WarPanthers89's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sam helped put up 4 TDs and our defense looked exposed today. Both of Darnold's picks were under extreme duress. Darnold is the real deal. -
Is he a bust? It's WAAaaayyyyyyyy too early to tell, but yeah, that would be the downside.
