  2. Yeah, i mentioned it in my post earlier in the thread... i was actually a ball boy for them. IIRC, they were among league leaders in attendance every year. They had a LOT of famous/legit NBA players that came through there too... but, like i said in that previous post, im surprised the nba keeps expanding the dleague teams because from first hand experience, i have no idea how they make money, or even break even for that matter, no matter how successful they are.
  3. I wouldn't write off fayetteville so quickly either... mj's brother, larry, lived there for years while he was serving in the army. Larry has a position with the team in the front office now and there is literally nothing else to do in Fayetteville, although i have to admit, the crown coliseum is starting to get up there in years... regardless, they have a history of supporting a dleague team and it would expand/secure the fanbase. Buzz Peterson, also employed by mj, has connections to Asheville, iirc. And Raleigh just makes sense because it's the capital/a big market in the state and the team could go a long way in expanding and securing the fanbase in-state by putting it there... and the expendable income is there too. I guess the same could be said for Greensboro, but i think thats too close to Charlotte.

  5. Sorry, lol, i was half asleep and didnt proof read... also, using a new keyboard on my phone. I was just saying, i find it funny that a lot of the people that are incensed by the idea that JR wouldn't consider Collins are some of the same people that had no problem with hiw he handled Hardy (whose case was appealed and then dropped).
  6. Oops, i meant tweet him this video:
  7. Lol @ people mad at jerry over not signing an unproven college tackle coming out of the situation hes fot going on being a lot of the same ones that had no problem with hiw he trested or handled Hardy.
  8. Yeah, I would love to see it in Raleigh... I'm 15 mins away. Or my hometown, Fayetteville... I worry about anything in Fayetteville, becsude of the crime and such, but hey, if everyone can turn their head and pretend Durham is cool and safe while Duke wins, they can with Fayetteville too... Fun fact: I was a ball boy for the Fayetteville Patriots when we had them back in '02-03. Shook hands with Nate Archibald, who was our coach. Gave water to college greats like Omar Cook, Erick Barkley, And1 Player Lonnie Harrell, Terrell McIntyre, Mateen Cleaves, Jason Collier (the one that signed with the Hawks and died), and Birdman. Good times. Gerald Green played there after I had moved away too. From what I remember, Fayetteville had among the best attendance each year, but then they folded... That's why I'm surprised each time we hear of new franchises opening up in the nbdl... So many have had good attendance and success on the court, and they still fold... I think it's because they just hemorrhage money. So unless the NBA has a budget set aside to completely allow them to stand alone, I have no idea how they operate. Regardless, I'd love to see it.
  9. I've been watching boxing my whole life... I can't recall a more disappointing bout. I felt like from Jamie fox's drunk ass national anthem, to the final bell, everyone involved went through the motions and went home to count their money. Then i have friends who are homer mayweather fans whom think if you didn't like him winning, you just don't understand boxing... What a joke. No, people understand boxing, they don't understand people half-assing it because they already got paid. You know who had great defense? Sugar Ray Leonard... Ask anyone that saw his bout with Duran if they were disappointed by it. I appreciate Floyd's defensive abilities, but he barely even tried to counter or engage. It was like they both agreed to not try to take each other out so they could smile, hug it up, and count their money. Even when Floyd sat on the ropes, pac threw 3-5 punches and then would back off himself... He wouldn't stay in the pocket and let his hands go. It was a joke. Even Bernard Hopkins said Pac looked "satisfied," the entire night. As someone who has followed it my whole life, I keep hoping that boxing will return to where it once was... But that didn't do it any favors.
  10. You know what will stop the complaining? Addressing WR with fast/talented WRs. That's all I've asked for two years... It doesn't help matters when GMan and Rivera came out before the offseason and said they would need to add speed at WR and basically only made one move to address it, with a guy who isn't a very good WR (Ginn), but rather a great return man. I want guys that can get open for my QB, so he doesn't have the struggles he had early on last season. We need more quickness, speed at the position... But oh well, we have what we have now. If GMan would've addressed WR like he does the defense every year, I would be the happiest, most content, excited, cordial, amiable mother effer on this board. Because if he did that, there would be no doubt in my mind that we have the best options possible out there. It shows he cares, and he gave the position competition, and after the best guys win the job, great depth. Until he does that, I will continue to have a problem with the position. You don't like it, don't read it.
  11. I hoped people would at least get a laugh, that's why it's there lol.
  12. Fortunately, random Internet guys have access to something called the combine. He ran twice and his best official time was 4.7. I watched him multiple times throughout his Michigan career, and 4.6-4.7 is about what I would expect. Regardless, as big as he is, there is huge difference between a guy his size running a 4.47 (on a pro day lol) and a guy, say like Ginn's size, that runs a 4.3, is quick, and can consistently catch the ball.
  13. Nope, just forgot. But good thing I have plenty of giant sloths to hold me over!
  14. His speed is exciting, but as with most guys with that kind of speed, the hands are a question. I just wish we had prioritized a guy with speed and hands in free agency or early in the draft. So far though, Byrd is my favorite UDFA.
  15. So, gettleman said we need speed at WR. We signed Ginn, Boykin, and drafted Funchess.
  16. Goodley signed with Dallas. This fuging sucks. Oh well, I look forward to signing another 5 LBs.
  17. I cannot get a win... Lol
  18. What happened with him?
  19. Well, he's gonna have to beat out 58 other LBs to make that happen.
  20. Wow... A WR under 6'4" and a sub 4.6 40?
  21. LOL... Our UDFA board is nothing but LBs and RBs.
  22. Goodley! Goodley! Goodley!
  23. Lol, looks like a douche.
  24. If we sign/draft another fuging LB... Damn man, we have 25 of them.
