So, just what is it that makes a QB "elite"?
PNW_PantherMan replied to Brooklyn 3.0's topic in Carolina Panthers
Id say Bryce is Teddy with extra steps. But that would honestly not be fair to Teddy. -
How will the Panthers prepare for Atlanta?

Prepare for the Penix -
The only position that’s worth a Hail Mary on a project is QB. The risk/reward isn’t there for anything else in the 1st round.

Official Week 2: Panthers @ Cardinals Gameday Thread

Well 300 yards of Chuba check downs against prevent defense. I’m sold. Go ahead and ink the record breaking 10 year fully guaranteed extension. -
He’ll either get fired towards the end of the year, or early into the next QBs lifespan. This is David Tepper we’re talking about. Mediocrity will not be tolerated.

Bryce is awful. I don’t care about the dump off stuff. That’s not going to work against non prevent defense -

This is what flashing talent looks like. You shouldn’t need a bunch of post game analysis to try and find it. -
Well that escalated quickly.

No way Deshaun Fosters job survives this season.

Why is everyone focused on BY while the real problem is ignored
PNW_PantherMan replied to cranky's topic in Carolina Panthers
This is the answer. It doesn't matter how bad the defense is. We can't score. We can't win. -
I'm just not sure how useful it is to grade QBs based on what happens to them. Grading them on what they make happen seems to track a lot closer to reality. The entanglement problem is real in football. It makes it difficult to evaluate players individually. But QBs have enough agency to make things happen. And that's what you have to grade them on.

Relax. We are off to a slow start.

Relax and keep your seatbelts fastened. The plane will be crashing shortly. -
How many games before they pull the plug for good
PNW_PantherMan replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I still can’t get over the logic 1. We suck the season is lost. We’re losing all our games. 2. Well time to tank it out and try to lose all of our games. 3. Replace the entire staff, leading to the interim boost. He just had to do nothing. That’s it. Nothing. -
Bryce by the numbers(emotionless post)

Lawrence didn't play great, but he outplayed Bryce by essentially every actual measure. To come up with some system that says Bryce had a better game is just lying. -
The Panthers’ Bryce Young Problem is Getting Old

Well see there's your issue. You're choosing to view it incorrectly. -

People still do that with Carr to this day. Oh no he's gonna get "David Carr'd". Nah maybe Carr just sucked man. -
I completely agree with you, but I still don't think it means Tepper won't fire them.
