I forgot how fun it is to have people from other teams talking smack. We didn't get any of that with the Jets lol

To be fair, it's not really a reach if the guy ends up being a great player. The general consensus outside of our team seemed to be that even Horn was a bit of a reach as Surtain was graded as the best corner. Was he a reach? I don't think so, because he's probably going to be a better player than Surtain. That being said, I'm not mad we got Horn. He's a bad dude.

We need a much better threat at TE if we're going to stick to the dump off game and short passes underneath zones. We did not target Robbie and Marshall enough IMO.

Because workload management is a thing. There's a lot of research around RBs with 400 touch seasons, and never quite being the same. If you want CMC to last, he needs to be spelled a little more IMO.

IQ may stay the same or get worse, but with maturity and experience comes knowing your own limitations lol. Just my personal experience.

I think my all time favorite game against the Saints was when we ran up the score to try and get in the playoffs. The fact that Mike Ditka took it personally just made it better. That said, we're due to hand them an ass whoopin.

Can we just pause for a moment, and appreciate that the scheme is being adapted to the personnel available? I seem to remember years where that was NOT the case for us, with guys blatantly out of position.

I think you're onto something. Rhule definitely comes off as more of a motivator, while Snow is an X's an O's guy.

That should be reviewable by coaches challenge. They've taken most of the challenges away from coaches, but why not let them review that? It's clear as day to anyone watching the replay, and it had a significant impact on the game. (Even if GB just got their ass kicked either way)

Jameis had a great game. Yeah the INT that got called back wasn't great, but he still played better than a lot of people expected. If Sam had the same game you guys would be talking about how great it was, that he threw 5 TDs, only did what was asked of him, etc.

Relax, Teddy. Tyrod Taylor balled out too, but I wouldn't want him as the future of the Panthers either.
-
Arnold seems like he has zero YAC potential, and he looks slow out there. Leaves a lot to be desired for a young QB that's trying to find his rhythm.

Shaq Thompson deserves some love
PNW_PantherMan replied to LinvilleGorge's topic in Carolina Panthers
Shaq also thought it was his best game as a Panther -
I would tend to agree. It's still early, but Sam appears to have more raw arm talent than Jake had. I loved Jake, but he was basically 100% mojo. Sam sailed a few passes just enough to miss the guy. But not bad enough to sail into the arms of the defender. Hopefully he can improve his consistency as the season goes on.

Hey Teddy actually balled out today. But, they're probably just waiting for an easier matchup. Don't want to throw Fields to the wolves against Aaron Donald, Jalen Ramsey, etc.

Given that things have played out now, can we really say that Eli was so wrong to refuse being drafted by the Chargers? Not that Eli was a great QB by any means, but think about Rivers on those Giants teams.
-
Yeah Nagy let the Bears defense atrophy into mediocrity, and their offense is just as lackluster as ever. He's been a complete failure.
-
They won games with Taysom Hill at QB. Jameis has the talent. Unfortunately for us, I think Payton is going to have his guy for years to come.

I just think Stafford is an interesting case. Because he's been pretty solid his whole career, but just been on bad teams. What if he's on the TB12 diet and he can play another 5-10 years at a high level. But now he's on a good team, and could potentially get a championship.

What do you guys think about Stafford? Is he potentially HOF worthy? What would he need to do in LA to get there?
