    We would’ve played Florida and lost in the 1st instead of the 3rd round. Montreal would have been the 8 seed.

    The NHL used to seed the playoffs by 1-8 in the points rankings for each conference. Now they are seeded in a way where you play out of your division in the bracket. We play in the weakest division in the NHL.

    Yep. Wheels fell off with Burns and Orlov too. The team still managed to figure it out after the deadline and put together a good 2nd half. We just got our hopes up like you do. I don't think Rod is infallible or we should never fire him. I just don't think this year is a very good reason. I don't think anyone else behind the bench gets a better finish with this squad.

    Rods system is the main reason we had the opportunity to even play in these games. But think whatever nonsense you want. Most NHL fans don’t think we have a Stanley cup roster. It’s just canes fans.

    It sucks but we need upgrades on the ice. 2 of our top 4 defense should retire. Plus you need 2 top lines to win in the playoffs and we only have 1 top line.
