  1. Yes people wanted to see Dalton play, but he's going to be 37 and was brought in with Bryce to basically be his coach. For example, let's say we drafted Joe Milton and he made those plays in a Panther uniform last week. That's a different situation. Nobody thinks Dalton is the answer. He hasn't gone into the season as the intended starter in 5 years. People just want the best QB on the roster to start. And if that guy is 20 something years old and has showed potential? The pressure from both the locker room and the fans is going to be a lot greater.
  2. They aren't going to bring in anyone that's going to challenge Bryce, because it would cause problems. Nobody is going to root for the backup to enter the game when its Jack Plummer. Neither the fans or players.
  3. Most good players won’t make good GMs. That’s just how it goes. John Lynch is kind of the exception, and not the rule.
  4. My favorite thing about the point guard analogy is it doesn't even make sense in reality. Nobody in the NBA has ever won with such a strategy. Yeah, just get a really good point guard and then you don't need as good of a team. No. Nobody wins with their best player being the point guard. Maybe except Golden State. But Steph isn't exactly a distributor.
  5. I think Tepper had already made his mind up that he wanted an offensive coach. He never intended for Wilks to have a real shot. He just couldn’t stand having Rhule employed for another second. Firing Rhule, trading CMC and giving the job to Wilks were Teppers attempts to tank. It was the best the team has looked under his ownership.
  6. I don't know why people complain about Eddie. Sure he doesn't have a booming leg for a 57 yard field goal. But he's pretty damn consistent within his range. It's rare to find a kicker with that kind of accuracy and a booming leg. That's basically a HOF kicker. Sure he did have a bad game in Atlanta, but most kickers do have one every now and again.
  7. fall is approaching JJ Jansen snaps the ball and the kick is good
  8. I believe it. What a poorly run organization. Even the 49ers took a flier on Purdy after they invested 3 1sts in Trey Lance.
  9. Steve Smith rocking the purple suit on NFLN lol
  10. He's still a good player assuming he didn't fall off a cliff during the offseason. It's just not gonna make a difference on this team. If he wants to play for us, come on in. If not, it's not going to matter much in the long run for us. The 2000 Ravens defense would be helpless with the offense we will likely field.
  11. It'll be easier to move on after we're done living it.
  12. Plummer and Luton are miles away from the next worst rostered QB in the NFL. Even before final cuts.
  13. There are colleges with better QB rooms than us right now. It's deliberately awful.
  14. My whole point is that people compare Teddy B to Bryce because "all he did is check down". That's just not true. That's all he did when it mattered. But in the 1st Quarter on some random 2nd down? He might hit Robbie for a 30 yard pass. That's why the guy had 1k yards and only 3 TDs.
  15. Look at the scores. It was better. People act like it was the worst, but we had a semi competent offense. Think whatever you want, but its statistically evident. That's not feelings.
  16. Sounds like Colts fans wanted Richardson to play more. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10131579-colts-anthony-richardson-disappoints-nfl-fans-in-rusty-preseason-return-after-injury
  17. I'm rooting for Bo Nix. Combined with Sean Payton, he would make a great heel for the league. We need a new one.
  18. Everybody forgets that Robbie Anderson looked like a legit deep threat for 15 minutes in 2020. It's the reason that they stupidly gave him that big extension. It was better than you remember. That's the sad part.
  19. Teddy B looks like Steve Young in those highlights compared to what we've been subjected to since. It's worse than I realized.
  20. The team probably needs to take that video down. There's more deep shots in that than we've seen in a while.
  21. Teddy would take the open shots in between the 20's. It was just never on 3rd down or when we could have scored.
