Mortensen reports there isn't "internal unanimity" about Hurts as the starting QB in 2021, but Lurie has been clear that the second-year QB should be given a real shot. Mortensen replied to a tweet from the Philadelphia Inquirer's Les Bowen questioning Mort's report that the team is sure about Hurts as its starter in 2021. But Lurie's support would presumably carry significant weight with the team's new coaching staff. Mortensen said in February -- after the team traded Carson Wentz to the Colts -- that the Eagles "intend to bring in competition" for Hurts. Apparently that calculus could change with Lurie's input. I get what you are saying but a major positive for him is his ability to run an offense and his uncanny ability at the line to process the defense and then go through his reads. Now whether its because of the incredible talent I guess that remains to be seen but just saying he is throwing to his first read is lazy. I mean its the one intangible that is shooting him up the board. His ability to potentially come in right now and be an effective NFL starter is what is driving his value. I think he can come in right now and be efficient and probably a slightly above average qb. His floor is much higher than say Lance but his ceiling certainly has major restrictions.

Dude I agree about the athleticism but the one thing every scout is raving about is his ability to process things in an instant at the LOS. He supposedly is a wizard at that and has pin point accuracy in his mid range throws.

What has Tepper done wrong so far as an owner? You probably could argue he kept RR a season too long but you can easily argue that keeping him at that time in his tenure was the right thing to do.
