  1. So it takes a top 3 qb in the league to overcome all of those variables. Got it. And look at the super bowl Mahoomes looked ordinary running for his life.
  2. How is Penei Sewell at 8 only a B+ in that draft? Shouldnt that be an A+++++++
  3. We dont know that for a fact. What qb's in the nfl now could develop with these factors against you? Weird injuries, terrible coaching, terrible oline, terrible weapons and thrown straight to the wolves at the age of 20 from the jump with no acclimation period. 56 starting lineman in 3 years.
  4. I doubt he slips by ATL, Cincy and Miami. Pray its a qb heavy draft with trade ups, pray the skill positions go early (chase and Pitts) and maybe we get lucky Sewell drops to us
  5. fuging Christ with all of these threads. There is at least 3 existing this could have gone in
  6. Lot of dumb newbs coming out of the woodwork
  7. Who was he throwing to? Who was calling plays? Who was blocking for him? Context matters
  8. Sam Darnold has had 56 different starting olinemen in his 3 years. Good Lord I actually feel bad for this kid. He had no way of succeeding
  9. keep digging, this is getting comical now
  10. Weird injuries, terrible coaching, terrible oline, terrible weapons and thrown straight to the wolves at the age of 20 from the jump with no acclimation period. The more I look into this the more I think this is a slam dunk.
  11. Also saying bridgewater was better without looking at the oline and weapons and scheme is just lazy
  12. Would you rather trade a couple of firsts to move up from Lance or Fields? Darnold had weird injuries, terrible coaching, terrible oline, terrible weapons and thrown straight to the wolves at the age of 20 from the jump with no acclimation period. I think a fresh start is going to be just what he needs
  13. He only had a clean pocket on 23 attempts, so that initial statement is a bit overstated
  14. This is a great post. I just think Lance has to go to a team that has a clear plan for him. His lack of reps and game experience is going to be really hard to overcome. 2-3 year project at best. I guess the staff figured we didnt have the time or stomach to figure that out
  15. I disagree, from what I saw he has a cannon that can throw ropes into coverage
  16. If/when a qb falls and we can finagle a 2nd out of Denver to switch spots then Fit is playing next level chess
  17. One thing I havent read on here but maybe its been discussed. But if there is some chance we win 9+ games with SD than we can kiss Brady bye bye
  18. If we dont draft an offensive lineman at 8 I will throw my TV into the bogue sound. There is no way we would pass Sewell or slater if they are there. No way Fit is that stupid. From what I read last night Pitts is shooting up the draft board and if he makes it past ATL than Cincy will pull the trigger making it Chase to Miami. The wild card is Det but its looking like a strong chance Sewell can be had at 8.
  19. I agree 100%, we are trying to thread a needle here but by getting a project in Darnold for basically nothing (this year) it allows us to not have to give up any assets to move up for a project qb, it makes it much easier to build the oline by using pick 8 and hopefully our 2nd. That also means we dont need to pick a wild ass project like Mond in the 3rd. So if we play our cards right it is conceivable that we can instantly fix our oline and probably get depth or maybe a starter at safety in the 3rd. Damn that sounds good to me. After watching Darnold youtube last night one thing that you cannot say is that he doesnt have a cannon. Dude can sling it for sure. I think anyone that doesnt think this trade isnt a positive step for the organization is not looking at things on every level. Again this trade will allow us to immediately fix our line. Our left tackle problem is solved.
  20. I am telling you like I have said for 3 days now, I can easily see now that the staff doesnt want to hitch their wagon to a major project like Lance. He is years away from being a productive starter. ANd I am using Lance as the example as he would likely be the guy still there at 8
  21. Trading for Darnold just made our draft and team building process way more easier. Not giving up any draft capital in 2021 allows us the either the best cornerback or the 1rst/2nd best LT. This expedites the process immensely. And if Darnold turns things around holy hell we just accelerated the timeline by years.
  22. You are a fuger what qb did you want at 8 that is better than SD?
