Josina Anderson: Panthers NOT trading Adam Thielen
mrcompletely11 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
after the first month his price would go down and I doubt we could get more then a 6th depending on the records. If you can get a reasonable 4th and not have to pay his entire salary then fug it why not -
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL Odd take, "yeah it worked out fine for the guy we paid and the team we traded him to, us not so much, but you are dumb anyway" Damn dude dont ever change

Having to pay his salary and only getting a 5th (or even 4rth) really doesnt make sense all things considered. -
LOLOLOLOLOL You think a team is going to give him more then a 40million deal after this season no matter how well he played? Goddamn. You would think, after seeing Brady and others test the fa market only to come crawling back for minimum deals that Morgan simply would have waited and rolled the dice on seeing what a 33 year old RT with bum knees would sign for with the team that drafted him.
-
Literally verbatim the exact same posts when we signed cmac to a unnecessary deal. We never fuging learn, as I suspected its the same guys doing a circle jerk because he has "earned" this, so tell me how did that work out for us after the fact?
-
for a better draft pick I bet we have to eat his salary or a large chunk of it

Anastasio
-
whats she saying?
-
micah or Trey? Because the Bengals defense was ass last year with him, I dont think he is making any team, much less ours "great". Micah is a different beast for sure but if reports are true there is already a deal with 2 firsts out there for him. And if Morgan trades 2 first for Parsons................
-
then it should happen organically not the square peg round hole method that we have grown accustomed to
-
If we trade our damn 2026 first then Morgan should be shown the door asap all things considered. Surely for the love of God he isnt that stupid.
-
and........wait for it.............he was already under contract for this season
-
-
also include "he is currently already under contract for this year"
-
depending on the offense it probably would be bryce, morgan and DC can sell it as they want their guy in but I think 6 wins and they tepper probably runs it back, the question is bryces 5th option
-
The cap would have opened up next year regardless, and what impact players are you referring to this late in the game? Granted I am not well versed on who is a FA these days but I kindof gotta think its been reduced to dog poo at this point, but I could be wrong
-
We traded him in 2022, he was under contract(in his case for 2 more years), like Moton, when we gave him his massive deal, you think either player was going to sit out?
-
so we give him 2 years 40 guaranteed just to free cap space to maybe sign or trade for someone, yep thats classic panthering, textbook actually
-
of course the classic panther - "win now season, one player away" part of me wants to bump the cmac ext thread and see where you land in that
-
of course the classic panther - "win now season, one player away"

For like the 10th time on this thread, he is signed for the 2025 season to a tune of 31 million. Why the fug wouldnt you simply wait and see?

https://www.panthers.com/news/combine-notebook-morgan-on-long-range-plan-canales-on-learning-new-roster Morgan on Feb 27 - Sigh "I think we're going to be a little smarter when it comes to the restructuring," Morgan said. "We're going do things the right way, not kind of kick the can down the road. We want to evenly distribute and pay year-to-year as opposed to kicking the can down the road.

wait, I should be excited about signing some scrub off the street after preseason has ended? Did I read that right?
-
fixed
-
sweet who are we signing?
