  1. No, none of them are remotely like Julio...he's a non-factor.
  2. Not if Tom Brady was an option... Why do you believe Sam is more likely to have the bad stuff "coached out of him" than Jameis? Payton is a proven NFL coach and the Saints have a track record of success...Jameis was drafted higher, all his measurables are better, and he can really "sling it"... ...yet he's destined to fail while Sam will be a smashing success? Your goalposts seem to be entirely portable...
  3. Actually no, the "experiment" is only beginning for Jameis and Sam... ...are you giving Sam more than 1-season to prove himself? You know that was no auto-correct nor was it a misspelling
  4. No, no...thank you! Anyone still think Rodgers, Wilson or Watson will play this season for anyone other than the teams to whom they are presently contractually obligated?
  5. Excellent summary of the entire S.D. Bull Case in a single sentence! 1. He can "sling it". 2. Back in 2018 he was the #3 pick. 3. The Jets suck. [Who knew 5 of top-7 picks in 2018 have made a Pro Bowl?]
  6. For every 10 TD's thrown, Sam has pitched 8.7 INT's... ...7.2 INT's for Jameis on same metric. Jameis played majority of his career for Dirk Koetter...he's probably worse than Gase. That said, the current face-off/issue is Payton & Rhule... PS -- "lightening" is what ladies do to their hair.
  7. It's an interesting parallel for sure... ...that said, I'm unsure why "coaching it out of him" would be any more of a challenge with Jameis than it will be with Sam. Jameis's stats are better across the board. Is Sam getting benched for PJ in the set of possible outcomes? (in your opinion)
  8. This convo takes cockeyed optimism to a whole 'nother level...
  9. Texans have 7 winning seasons since 2011.
  10. What I'm seeing shows him at #23 in the 2020 Simms-rankings and moving up to #19 in the 2021 version. Others: Teddy...29 > 32. D. Lock...25 > 33. Cam...10 > 20. D. Carr...19 > 14. Trubisky...38 > out. Wentz...6 > 18. Jameis...33 > 25. Minshew...30 > out. Who has a better season -- Payton/Jameis or Rhule/Sam? 2020 Simms Rankings: https://sports.yahoo.com/chris-simms-top-40-nfl-165422692.html
  11. Winning seasons since 1995: Lions: 7 Panthers: 7 NY J-e-t-s: 11
  12. What kind of time-frame do you feel is appropriate?
  13. Today on 730espn radio Al Wallace said Smitty never once showed up for any OTA's the entire time Al was with the team! Al seemed to think Robby would be in camp...
  14. How right you are...and I had no idea how right you really are. 7-9, 1-15, 7-9...Panthers records 3 seasons pre-Jake. 10-5, 7-9, 11-5, 7-6, 2-1, 12-4...Jake's regular season record as a starter first 6 seasons in w/ CAR. Given he was playing for an inept owner/franchise who never once produced back-to-back winning seasons, and only has 7 winning seasons in the 26-year franchise -- Jake's overall production is simply amazing! Furthermore, in the 26-year history of the franchise the team has 9 total wins in the playoffs -- Jake was at the helm for 5 of those. Did you know Jake was the 1st QB in NFL history to lead his team to 4 consecutive road-playoff wins?!? What an incredible record of accomplishment he has... ...hell, I believe there is a strong argument to be made that the Jake Era constitutes the Golden Years for this franchise!
  15. Yeah, and a lot of talented guys got that ass beat by Jake too. 56-40 in 96 starts... ...your are what your record says you are and Jake is a winner.
  16. I don't think a dome would be a requirement for a Super Bowl in the CLT...
  17. I refer to him as Baker-Flinch Nicest guy in the world but his fall was truly stunning... Problem was he decided his already world class golf swing wasn't good enough and in a search for distance made some drastic changes and was never able to go back. If Slye isn't totally f***ing with his mechanics I'd have to believe the odds are low he'll go the way of Flinch.
  18. Grudgingly... The one I went to was in Tampa and I was thrilled to get out of the cold & snow for sunny & warm climes and the beach and golf course, etc... ...Indy or Detroit I would have declined... ...Charlotte definitely better than those 2 but also a wholly inferior substitute for SoCal, Miami, Tampa, New Orleans, etc...
  19. I have. Agreed, really nice, wouldn't live here if it wasn't. Super Bowls should be held in warm-weather/vacation type destinations that offer a wealth of other recreational options...
  20. Out of curiosity I was looking at the historical locations of past Super Bowls and ran across this wiki page: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Super_Bowl Interesting passage in the attached screenshot... ...can CLT provide this?
