  1. Yea if they were really making something up they wouldnt go with a broken shoulder that he was questionable with a shoulder injury before the last game. It makes them looks terrible and they are going to catch a lot of heat for it and have a lot of questions to answer.
  2. Broken throwing shoulder for a qb doesnt sound ideal...
  3. He knew that and still called him out for having balls batted down. Which isnt fully on the qb anyway.
  4. I dont think 2021 Cam is "clearly" better than these guys at all. Could he be? Maybe. It's not nearly as cut and dry as you all want to act. Father time Caught up with Cam rapidly as all of his strengths were worn away by time/injuries. The people who just remember 2015 Cam are never going to move on until he finally retires.
  5. The announcers specifically mentioned after the play that no one was open at all.
  6. The rb was right there. It was at McCaffrey's feet...
  7. How was that grounding? It was right at Hubbard's feet.
  8. Everyone knew our first offensive play was going to be a run up the gut with CMC including the Patriots. Why not use him as a decoy on the first play? Brady had no idea how to throw defenses off balance.
  9. I think it just as much if not has more to do with the fact that the offensive line actually looks almost competent when run blocking. Unfortunately the same cant be said for pass blocking. I do think they should have went for a deep ball on one or two of those 2nd and 1 qb sneaks and that is another reason our offense and Darnold is struggling. Our offense is predictable. The coaching staff has no idea how to run a balanced offense to try to catch the opponent off guard or confuse them.
  10. It is crazy how much we have regressed since the first few games. That partially has to point towards play calling and other teams getting film.
  11. They heard the media say it once when criticizing Darnold so they are going to repeat it any time there is a hit on the football field.
  12. Look at that, Sam literally placed the ball specifically in a place to try to prevent a hospital ball for Moore.
  13. The people calling that a hospital ball are just repeating a term they've heard and have no idea what a hospital ball is. There is going to be a deep safety on most plays. He didn't lead him into it and he didnt have to reach or stretch for it. The safety came from deeper down field. In no way a hospital ball just a football play. They will happen from time to time.
  14. Our offensive coaches have no idea how to run a balanced offense or how to be unpredictable. We are either pass happy or run happy and it puts us constantly in situations where the defense knows exactly what we are going to do.
  15. You know enough about nfl football to know you have to maintain control going to the ground when youre out of bounds. If he had held onto it there would have been no question. You constantly bash Darnold when he deserves it, it's fair to say that was on DJ too.
  16. Definitely. You dont have to reinvent the wheel but you do try to disguise what you're doing and confuse the defense to make mistakes. Going by multiple db's on other teams saying they knew the routes that were coming, that's obviously not happening. Whose fault that is is a different question that I think is divided up between a handful of people.
  17. Exactly. From where we are it's a chicken or the egg thing. Is Darnold making the plays look bad or is the play calling being repetitive making Darnold (who already makes bad decisions) look worse. Our offense looked bad last year and Teddy caught all the blame. Hes looking pretty solid in Denver. There is one thing that ties this years offense and last years offense together and it's not Darnold.
  18. Basically I'm just making an argument against all the people saying these 2 examples specifically didnt come here because of Tepper or Rhule. We have no idea about any of that.
  19. Exactly. Everyone flipping out and saying it's the owner and coaching staff. It may not even be football related. The tax difference is huge and believe it or not a lot of people actually would prefer to live in Miami over Charlotte. The stafford conversation is the same. LA and Charlotte are totally different things. He was also on vacation with McVay at the time they announced the trade. There are a lot more possible factors than we know for all the fans and their doomsday scenarios.
  20. Not stellar? They are one of the worst in the league if not the worst by almost any measure.
