  1. Says a lot about coaching. We have absolutely nothing to play for but being spoilers and the Panthers have much more energy and effort out there.
  2. No one cares besides the people who are obsessed with commenting negative things about the qb regardless of what's happening at the time.
  3. I just don't see it. I think he is a good wr and a good cb. I don't think he's elite at either. If he didn't play both ways I don't think he would be the first cb or wr taken.
  4. I think we put way too much stock in things people say in interviews that they gain nothing by saying and basically have no other answer they could even give right now regardless.
  5. I never said the offensive line wasn't much improved. You didn't even mention tight ends. It's ok to admit we have a bottom tier set of receivers and still go on your anti Bryce crusade. Both things can be true.
  6. So you can name one team that might be worse?
  7. Meh wr? Thielen is our #1 wr and who is our #1 te? That's a good bit below meh
  8. He was put in a bad situation and he should have been allowed to interview elsewhere. That said, he did pick out a lot of his guys to bring in, a lot of players don't seem to like playing in his system, and I personally just hate his scheme in general. Both things can be true, he was put in a crappy situation, and he didn't do a very good job also.
  9. That's the thing, there is no reason to make that decision now because they don't have to consider 5th year option right now.
  10. And now you're constantly trying to get rid of that while he's 23 and showing regular improvement sooo... you're making the exact opposite of the point you think you are, by quoting their best statistical seasons that came years later. It could easily be interpreted to say surrounding cast, scheme, and development time are needed and that qbs can actually improve over time.
  11. It's the fact Thielen is a good route runner. He gets separation in his routes and is also where he is supposed to be when he's supposed to be there. That's the biggest thing. Bryce's biggest strength is his anticipation. Receivers running bad or lazy routes makes throwing with anticipation impossible sometimes.
  12. Yep, if you're going to compare the physical talent then you've got to also compare the anticipation and touch that Bryce throws with.
  13. Even if you're in the swing for elite qb till you get one. What swing could they take this offseason. There is no better potential option than Bryce for next season.
  14. I'm usually all in on tanking but I'm good either way this time. I actually think it's way better if the young guys, especially Bryce looks really good the last 2 games. That's way more important than 2 or 3 draft spots.
  15. Yea... Higgins is a really good #2 who is going to get big time overpaid.
  16. If we miss out on Graham I think you have to go edge. I don't think they value is there at wr and also good passes rushers basically only come in the first round. The drop off in productivity in pass rushers statistically taken after the first round is crazy.
  17. To be fair our defense is a thrown together mess. I wouldn't say we have a lot more players who specifically fit a 34 than a 43. We've just been throwing stuff at the wall to try to piece something together.
  18. I don't really get this really high ceiling stuff with XL. I haven't since before the draft. He played 5 years in college, he's going to improve but I'm not sure you could expect huge jumps. I think he can be a fine #2 but I feel like this really high ceiling talk is based off him being 6'1, with a heavy build and a fast 40 time, nothing else. He has limited quickness and acceleration, short arms, small hands, and body catches. I do think he will get better and I think he will be an alright #2 for us, I just don't see this crazy ceiling everyone talks about. Hopefully they're right.
  19. Blandio said it was a bogus call. He said it was only supposed to be called if they came down on the legs
  20. It seems crazy that allowing 5 catches for 65 yards on 7 targets would get best grade on defense. I like Jackson and he definitely seemed to play better than that but still.
  21. Yep, it's like Terry Rozier said when he left the hornets. They've got guys who are OK with losing. Never going to be great once that attitude takes over a team.
  22. I think if we had ended up 4 we would almost have to have taken Graham because he was best value. I think going in the back half of the top 10 opens things up to wr or a lot more value at edge in those spots. I'm not one of those people who argue that it's better to pick later than early, but it doesn't open more options as far as players that have value at that pick.
  23. He literally had 4 big time throws. That is a really high number in a game no matter who the qb is. That goes against your whole argument. That's high no matter who the qb is and he has had the most in the NFL in a handful of weeks since he came back, and 4 this week could very well be the highest or at least close i would bet.
  24. I think he's been fine. He seems to be a little slow to react, but makes a lot of tackles, even if it's a couple yards later than you would hope.
