It sounds like your issue is less with the valid complaints and more with the fact that you just aren't having a positive time on the internet. If and when that becomes the case maybe it's best to unplug for a time. Nobody can do that for you that's a conscience choice you have to make for your own well being if it becomes a burden.

The only thing more tiresome than the Panthers consistently being a losing franchise are the folks who seek to identify other fans as the first source of our problems.

The overwhelming majority of idiots who constantly badmouthed Cam despite what he did for the team jumped ship long ago. Bryce Young was and is the anti-Cam Newton. Opposite in every way. He is small and quiet. He is nice and friendly to everyone and never raises his voice. David Tepper clearly wanted this after dealing with someone as unapologetically outspoken and outwardly confident as Cam Newton.

I fully expect the Panthers will continue the tradition of winning a few or a handful of games late in the season when there's nothing to play for in the name of "culture".

It's so early. But after going on three years of our current experiment. I'm looking at measurables and arm talent. Keeping an eye on Allar and Mendoza. Sellers is going to be a hot name but he is going to be very raw and I don't expect to stumble into another Cam.

Panthers Select Xavier Legette WR - Pick 32, Round 1
frankw replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
At this point it's fair to ponder just how other WR prospects from the draft class would look here over time too. When you've already canned an entire coaching staff and jettisoned multiple WR's in just a few short years and you still suck ass it's time to reassess everything from top to bottom. -
We aren't going to win anything except a few meaningless games late in the season when there's no pressure to make the playoffs. That's a hard truth you're just going to have to reconcile with. The rest of us will be looking at the upcoming QB class.

Aren't you the one person here who showed up looking for a shoulder to cry on because you had to pay for shitty fan fest tickets?

Cam didn't necessarily disagree with Steve. He experienced the lack of culture here firsthand in his early years as many fans know all too well. His response was that Steve only knows how to be who he is but at the end of the day this is a small market it isn't L.A. or Boston or New York etc. It is Carolina and the team represents two states. And fans have become weary and frustrated and fed up and they need some semblance of hope. It's a tough situation all around.

This popped up in my recommendations. Hits the feels hard. I just want to get back to competitive football.

XL needs to reevaluate his approach to everything and his time on social media IMO. If he wants to be a successful football player then he will do this and apply a change going forward. If he just wants the limelight and to hangout with other celebrities then he is going to fizzle out fast and all of that will eventually fizzle out as well. All we can do is see how he responds over the course of the season and go from there. But we do need to see much more competent QB play and actually threaten downfield instead of making opposing defenses jobs easier in order to fully evaluate the offensive pieces though. That can't be understated.

4.3 yards per pass attempt against the Bills. We play them this season too. Oof. Tua has had more glimpses of better play than Bryce has but those games are getting further and further away. And didn't he have to fully alter his throwing motion at one point already? Where they share the highest level of commonality IMO is how many awful or mediocre games they have across all their starts. The Dolphins gave this guy $167 million guaranteed and all he's done is make them regret it. Our FO better be paying attention.

Tua was supposed to be Bryce's best comp. Bad omen. He is asswater.

His physical attributes aren't going to change on a new team so I have no idea how he would pan out elsewhere but I can logically assume those issues he has had with processing which was supposed to be his key selling point before the draft would follow him. He was also supposed to be someone who thrives when the play breaks down but he has been inconsistent at best on that and at times horrific. I think where we each take a fork in the road on the determination of Bryce Young currently is you seem to still be treating him as a rookie and not a third year QB still repeating the same mistakes while showing that he has no arm talent to overcome even the slightest bit of adversity. I've said all along his rookie year and his sophomore season that I would be willing to overlook his interceptions if he was pushing the ball downfield consistently and even if he turned the ball over forcing a pass here and there to keep defenses honest I would accept it. But he has nothing. There is no deep passing game here. He threw the ball 55 times in Arizona which was 30 more times than Kyler Murray and only had a little over 100 more passing yards than him. Legitimately you should read that again and ponder it. That is embarrassingly atrocious. Circumstances here are not ideal with the WR's and OL but we cannot normalize this. It is horrendous. And we need to swallow our pride and begin scouting QB's for the 2026 draft. In the meantime this cannot continue on much longer for the sake of the locker room. And the upcoming schedule isn't going to get any better. If there is a silver lining to any of this we are going to find out just who Dave Canales really is throughout the rest of the season. He isn't getting a pass either. -

Only very foolish people and they are all long gone. Matt Rhule was a terrible hire and he wanted no part of trying to develop a rookie QB. Most people have wanted us to draft a QB the right way for years now. By that I mean no trade hauls no mortgaging the future to move up and putting even more pressure on the guy we pick just staying put at our pick and taking one and seeing how it goes. Everything we have done with trying to "fix" the QB position has been an impulsive splash move instead of being calculated. And that is because of the Tepper's.

I don't think that remark was necessary to convey his opinion. But as far as this new position you are taking. None of us have spent the last two years going around here spamming poo reactions over him and trying to dictate conversation. And you yourself have made two threads in two years declaring Bryce Young a bust. I mean that sounds like someone confused and in need of some level of therapy. -
It was actually two. One last year when Bryce was benched and one in late 2023. And it's his prerogative to do that. But going around here acting as if his is the only rational unbiased word on the situation after doing so and pretending he never did so is certainly odd.
-
Canales might end up being a dud but there's nothing he or any other head coach is going to be able to do in order to make Bryce Young taller or not have mediocre at best arm talent.
-
This was the risk with spending what $150 million in free agency on two OL? We should have been focused on the draft. Now whether the OL is terrible bad or mid we still have the highest amount of salary cap dedicated to the position group by far. And it's only going to go up when we sign Icky to an extension. Instead of trading up for injured running backs maybe we should have been drafting OL.
-
The Panthers are a bad football franchise. We have young receivers who are imperfect. We have had injuries along the OL. But Bryce Young is a downgrade from every single QB that has started for this team since Cam Newton's throwing arm died back in late 2018. And we have invested an absurd amount of resources in order to improve this offense. Multiple things can be true at one time.
