  1. I appreciate the real data people are bringing to give us a full picture on the talk of our OL woes. Regardless of who we hire as the head coach we definitely need to see some level of an upward trend from Bryce next season or the locker room is going to get dicey. It doesn't matter how nice someone is or how much they are liked as a person when other people are having their livelihood affected by consistently bad QB play. Eventually it erodes the foundation. See Sam Darnold as a starting QB.
  2. This is ultimately a redundant thread I agree. I can agree some of the Stroud talk has become unhealthy. Unfortunately for those who want to move on that is going nowhere for at least another year or two. Even the guy himself is aware of it and has rubbed our noses in it. Have to both accept the outcome and understand it will remain a major topic of discussion going forward as long as our franchise is stuck in the mud. I don't think most people are "opposed" to BY as much as they are disappointed just how statistically horrendous he has been regardless of extenuating circumstances. We have to acknowledge the fact that for him to make a full 180 from here and become a franchise QB would go on to become one of the most miraculous career turnarounds in decades. Best case scenario from here is he becomes a decent starter and we still draft competition for him down the line.
  3. 1st overall pick and a statistical top 10 WR. Ohh wee Mayne. I definitely appreciate the attempt at optimism. I'll have some of that if we actually hire a new GM and Tepper steps back. Until then I expect more of the same unfortunately.
  4. I'm not telling you to call him a POS. I'm not sitting here calling him names. I'm telling you he is a very poor owner and he is very bad in his overall decision making from major team decisions down to basic things like attending games and acting like an angry toddler. He is also very petty and we are hearing he only wants to surround himself with literal yes men. If you don't agree so be it.
  5. Of all the things to do on a random Wednesday you choose carrying water for a billionaire.
  6. Meh. What it really boils down to is we did not need to keep Darnold or Baker. We did not need to trade to 1. We could have kept Moore kept this years first rounder and drafted Levis at 9 or even traded down and still taken him a little later and been better off than we are now.
  7. You guys should stop torturing yourselves dreaming about this. They love having Tepper around. He's good for business. His team is a cellar dweller and the get right game for other more relevant franchises.
  8. You're caping at this point. Just as you were last year. And the year before. That's your prerogative. Also to be clear he's made it well known he regards fans critical of him as beneath him entirely and people that live in basements.
  9. From a general perspective I would get what you are saying if we were talking about a normal everyday individual. As far as it pertains to David Tepper. Bare in mind you are asking for decorum on behalf of a middle aged billionaire who in a press conference following yet another disastrous decision on his part purposely mispronounced the last name of the head coach he just fired. That same man once purchased the home of a former business rival just to tear it down and rub his nose in it. That same man basically has a trail of bad decisions and business deals across the region here. Now he is behaving like a drunken ogre at Panthers games. His reputation in the Carolinas has been cemented by himself. That's really all there is to it.
  10. Why would we have to choose between the two? You would keep both and deal Burns if anything. We're finding out the hard way you can't just draft a WR in the first two rounds and profit immediately. He has?
  11. Tepper has more than brought this on himself. It's telling the only one who agrees with you on this is Dr Lunker back on a new account.
  12. https://www.carolinahuddle.com/topic/227992-wouldn’t-you-rather-just-have-christian-mccaffery-dj-moore…/
  13. DJ Moore was the more egregious move. Top 10 WR in his prime on a low end contract compared to some of his peers. McCaffrey is everyone's favorite because he's playing on the 49ers behind that OL with Shanahan designing plays. But nobody wants to talk about his salary cap hits or the fact he and his mother were relieved to get him back on the west coast. He's also banged up heading into the playoffs behind one of the league's best olines. You're dreaming if you think he stays healthy and doesn't sit out behind ours.
  14. Best player on the team. Pay that man.
  15. Pocket change. Owners looked out for him. Make no mistake they don't mind at all having Tepper around. The league needs a good punching bag and that's what Tepper's franchise is good for now. We are every teams get right game.
  16. It's all about available media markets vs the current media market. The owners would only approve a move if significantly more money were to be made. Since this is a profitable market and California Texas New York and Florida all have multiple NFL franchises the odds of this team moving anywhere else are very low.
  17. Boy does that sound familiar. They must have accounts.
  18. At this point Harbaugh and any other potentially franchise altering head coaching option are seeing the behavior of this manchild owner and thinking to themselves they'd rather do anything else.
  19. Well sure. We said the same thing about Matt Rhule. They make their money and the team is horribly worse off in the meantime. All you need to know about Scott Fitterer is how the Seahawks have been doing since he left. And his lone claim to fame was being there when they drafted Russell Wilson. Who has been garbage since Seattle let him go. It is unfathomable that we managed to heavily downgrade from Marty Hurney. But that's what we did lol.
  20. Doing what Tepper wants may keep him this job but will seriously hurt his chances of getting anywhere near the position again elsewhere. They're both trash.
  21. This tweet sums up Tepper. And by extension says Scott Fitterer is a boot licking sycophant.
  22. Oh I concur 100% we need to actually build an offense and stop thinking we can just drop in a QB. All I'm saying is while I like Bryce Young the person. This offense is seriously limited with him. Defenses know this as much as we do. Chark certainly has questionable hands but this is just a butt ugly offense. And honestly as bad as Chark has been. Bryce throws some wobbly ducks out there. At the end of the day I think if we got to see a few more games of Andy Dalton we would be arguing we need less offensive pieces than we think. The mere mention of that will enrage certain people but that's where I'm at. I was joking. Mike is a fiery kind of guy to a degree from what I've seen of his on field personality. I am honestly surprised we haven't had any blow ups with how awful this season has gone. Remember when DJ Moore publicly challenged our staff? Looks like he did himself a favor. I sincerely hope we can improve next year or the odds of locker room turmoil will increase substantially.
  23. Adam Thielen is 8th in receptions and 100th in yards per reception. He's slow but that's ridiculous. That matches Bryce Young's YPA. Honestly Mike Evans would probably go Robby Anderson on the sidelines here and I would not blame him one bit.
