My name says it all. I was sold as soon as he gave his first speech to us. Do you guys remember that speech? I wanted to suit up and play for him.

So trying to trade for Watson or Stafford leaves you to question if he understands the importance of an elite QB? No offense intended but I honestly don't understand that assessment. By all accounts we were literally hours away from landing an Elite QB. It's not his fault if the guy wanted to win now with a team that had already proven it could win with an average QB.

This. I was going to say much the same thing. I believe his ceiling is higher than people think. He's 24. Hasn't played QB very long. Has never been properly coached and he's learning a new system. The progress he's made in such a short time with this staff plus is general attitude leads me to believe that he could become a very good QB in a couple of years.

No Respect for the Panthers - What Cowboys Fans are Saying
Panthers Rhule replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
I agree the sample size is small and the Eagles defense were giving up fewer points but I would say that some of Dallas' points were do to Philly simply falling apart but it is a good point. I also think that their style of offense plays into our strength. We haven't given up 50 yds running in a game yet and those short passes will be more difficult against us I predict because of the way when can crowd the line and hide our intentions. Those quick passes require that the QB can decide where the pass is going before the play begins based on what he sees. If he can't see where that quick lane is the he'll have to decide after the play starts which changes everything. That will mean he needs more than 2.5 secs to make the play. If he doesn't, they will be attacking lanes that might not be there. -

Some interesting stats here I think, TB defense allows an average 29.2 pts per game and Dallas scored 29. Chargers 20 pts per game and Dallas scored 20. The exception was the Eagles 21pts and Dallas scored 35 offensively. We average 10 per game defensively. Dallas gives up 23 pts per game. Which should be close to what we average. -
My analysis of C.J. Henderson and body language.
Panthers Rhule replied to Ivan The Awesome's topic in Carolina Panthers
This isn't true. Some people do that to remember. Some people will look 1 way to remember and the other way when they want to lie but it depends on the person. Not all people are the same and there are many different things a person might do to indicate a lie. -
Yeah but c'mon, Newton always asks dumb questions. If it was just this one time then I'd give him a pass but it's literally every fuggin time. He always asks these dumb questions like he's so smart and he0s got'cha but in reality players usually just blow him off.

Yes, Panthers are black and our Panther is black too. Are Eagles green? Are Lions blue? Some teams do go that route like the Cardinals and Bengals but it's in no way mandatory nor is it even the standard. So for me, Carolina is blue and panthers are black and what's wrong with that? Looks way better too. If our panther was blue then I'd agree with you but it's the right color.

That's actually a great example of my point about his delivery being slow. Watch when he makes the quick and correct read, the quick slant is there. Watch how long it takes him to get the ball out of his hand. By the time the ball gets there the defender has read the throw and jumps in from behind the WR to knock the ball down. As I said in my post, yes the play calling was bad and WRs were not wide open but there were times when completions were there and they got batted down. That's why Andy gets more completions in the same offense. He has to get the ball out quicker or that will continue to happen.

Why do we keep trading our FA acquisitions?
Panthers Rhule replied to BurnNChinn's topic in Carolina Panthers
It's not what WE know it's what THEY know and THEY evaulated and met with him before last season's draft and our DB coach knows him well and in all THEY decided he was worth the trade even if they didn't want to trade Arnold so that is good enough for 98% of us these days. Everything has looked good so far so keep it rolling. -
They are annoying I'd say but the worst? Nah. Eagles fans will kick the poo out of you like it's euro football.

Honestly? I dislike Philly more than Dally. Maybe it's only because I've stayed in Philly and I've never been to Dally but Philly sucks big dirty donkey balls. Probably Dally does too but I haven't witnessed it yet for myself. But also what Zod said. Let them get cocky before our game.

We are no longer rebuilding. We're competing
Panthers Rhule replied to Tommy Jone's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes, for getting into the playoffs. What I love about things as they stand now, we are competing but it's still a rebuild!!! This roster already looks better than 80% of our rosters have when we weren't in a rebuild. Most just coast with what they have at this point of the season but not the New Panthers, oh no, they are still adding to the rebuild and not with overpaid vets on the decline but with young players who are actually adding to the rebuild. I can't believe we got Henderson for a 3rd today. Whether he pans out or not we'll have to see but either way this team deserves and A++ for effort if nothing else. For the first time ever, I'm not only excited for this season but I'm excited for the seasons to come. We have the foundation for a serious football organization. -
Panthers about to trade for CJ Henderson?!?!
Panthers Rhule replied to joemac's topic in Carolina Panthers
That's true but they scouted him last year. They liked him. They brought him here for cheap. Based on what I've seen of their picks performances so far? I'm willing to trust their assessment of Henderson and I expect he will develop into a good player pretty quickly as that seems to be what they do here. -

I read somewhere that it wasn't the dreaded foot injury. Can't remember the name of it. He should be fine. -

Trading Darnold will give us $1,272,500 in dead cap this season and next. The Jags will take on $2.435 million 2022 salary. Almost 65% of Henderson's four-year rookie contract has already been paid by the Jaguars, with about 60% of the total coming via his signing bonus. Carolina will inherit a fully guaranteed three-year, $7.17 million contract. Those numbers make this trade even more amazing!!!!- 562 replies

Panthers about to trade for CJ Henderson?!?!
Panthers Rhule replied to joemac's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's only 22 yrs old too. I wasn't expecting this. In fact I had to read it again as I thought I read the wrong name. This is great!!! I wanted him last years draft. Now we will have 2 young, big, athletic and skilled former number 1 draft picks at corner. -
It was in that game. I'm also not trying to criticize him just because. You could clearly see it was a problem yesterday. His receivers weren't way open and the throws were mostly accurate but the defenders were closing in and knocking passes down because it.
