  1. New England head coach Mike Vrabel continues to add to his defense. The Patriots are signing Robert Spillane, per Ian Rapoport. Spillane spent the last two seasons with Las Vegas and played in every game. Last season, he finished with a career-high 158 tackles. Spillane had two sacks and two interceptions.
  2. The Los Angeles Rams are resigning quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. Garoppolo was generating interest from other team but, like Matthew Stafford, opted to return to Los Angeles. -- Adam Schefter, NFL Insider
  3. Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the Steelers are closing in on a deal with Aaron Rodgers. The interest began when it became clear to Pittsburgh that Justin Fields wanted to test free agency.
  4. The Washington Commanders reached an agreement with former San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets DT Javon Kinlaw, who rejoins GM Adam Peters after the two worked together in SF. -- Adam Schefter, NFL Insider
  5. Defensive tackle B.J. Hill is signing a three-year, $33 million deal that includes $16 million guaranteed with Bengals, per sources. -- Adam Schefter, ESPN insider
  6. The Bears have spent the past week revamping their offensive line and they made another HUGE move on Monday with former Falcons center Drew Dalman agreeing to terms on a three-year, $42 million deal that includes $28 million in guaranteed money. Dalman was ranked as the seventh best available free agent on Prisco's top 100. Ben Johnson had one of the best offensive lines in the NFL when he was in Detroit and now, he's trying to build the same thing in Chicago. Here's a look at what the Bears have done over the past week: March 4: Acquired Jonah Jackson in trade with Rams March 5: Acquired Joe Thuney in trade with Chiefs March 10: Added Drew Dalman in free agency On paper, the Bears offensive line is already light years better than it was last year.
  7. The Chiefs are signing running back Elijah Mitchell, per Jordan Schultz. It is a one-year deal worth up to $3.5 million. Mitchell is expected to back up Isiah Pacheco.
  8. At this point, cornerback Jaire Alexander remains a member of the Green Bay Packers. A source said Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst is “not moving him yet.” It remains to be seen what happens if they don’t trade him and whether that would lead to his outright release. -- Rob Demovsky, Packers reporter
  9. Khalil Mack isn't the only Chargers player who re-signed with the team today. Punter JK Scott also has a new deal after agreeing to a two-year, $6 million contract, according to NFL.com.
  10. Center Drew Dalman is headed to the Chicago Bears on a three-year, $42 million ($28 million guaranteed) deal to become the NFL’s second-highest-paid center. -- Adam Schefter, NFL Insider
  11. Former Miami Dolphins WR Braxton Berrios reached agreement on a one-year, $2 million deal with the Houston Texans, per source. -- Adam Schefter, NFL Insider
  12. Don't think you can compare the two contracts... different positions with different markets for each position
  13. The receiver is getting a three-year, $66 million deal that includes $44 million in guarantees.
  14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers are re-signing free-agent WR Chris Godwin to a three-year contract in which two are fully guaranteed. -- Adam Schefter, NFL Insider
  15. Kansas City is signing former 49ers offensive lineman Jaylon Moore to a two-year, $30 million deal, per Dianna Russini.
  16. The disgruntled pass-rusher, who only played in 10 games with the Jets last season, is headed to Tampa Bay after agreeing to a one-year, $14 million deal with the Buccaneers, according to ESPN.com. The Bucs were in serious need of some pass-rushing help and if Reddick is motivated, he should be able to help Tampa Bay's defense. Reddick sat out seven games last season while playing for the Jets because he wanted a new contract.
  17. The unofficial start of free agency is just five minutes away. Last year, we saw the biggest free agent (Kirk Cousins) go off the market within the first two hours of the tampering period, so it will be interesting so see if the quarterbacks once again go quickly this year.
  18. There has not been significant movement towards a new deal between the Eagles and OL Mekhi Becton to this point, from what I gather. He has a key advocate in OL coach Jeff Stoutland and would like to return but the money has to be right on both sides. Becton will have a chance to test the market. -- Tim McManus, Eagles reporter
  19. Source: DT Allen to visit Vikings A source tells ESPN's Jeremy Fowler that Pro Bowl defensive tackle Jonathan Allen plans to visit the Minnesota Vikings. Allen was released by the Washington Commanders on Friday after spending eight years with the organization. He had 19 tackles and three sacks in 2024.
  20. Philadelphia is actively shopping tight end Dallas Goedert, per Jimmy Kempski. He was a second-round pick by the Eagles in 2018. Goedert played in 10 games last season and brought in 42 of his 52 targets or 496 yards and two touchdowns.
  21. Cardinals re-sign left guard Evan Brown, per report Arizona's left guard stays home on a two-year, $11.5 million deal, per NFL Media. His 74.3 Pro Football Focus pass-blocking grade ranked 15th among all NFL guards last season, and he turns 29 on Sept. 16.
  22. Grady Jarrett got released from the Falcons, so Garrett Podell decided to come up with some landing spots. Let's check out a few teams on his list: Bengals Cowboys Jaguars
  23. The Carolina Panthers kicked off their free agency spending extravaganza by killing two birds with one stone. They inked star defensive back Jaycee Horn to a record-setting four-year, $100 million extension that completely reset the cornerback market across the NFL. Horn's $25 million annual salary makes him the highest-paid corner in the NFL just ahead of his contemporaries Jalen Ramsey ($24.1M), Patrick Surtain ($24M), and Jaire Alexander ($21M). With the extension, Carolina also created $9 million in cap space to spend this offseason. For a team with as many holes as the Panthers, every dollar becomes crucial in their quest to climb out of the league's gutter. https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/news/how-much-cap-space-do-panthers-save-with-jaycee-horn-mega-deal
  24. Of the top 25 players on Prisco's list of top free agents, here's a look at the ones who have already signed or been franchise tagged. And keep in mind, free agency hasn't even started. 2. Tee Higgins (Tagged by Bengals) 4. Trey Smith (Tagged by Chiefs) 5. Ronnie Stanley (Re-signs with Ravens) 10. Zack Baun (Re-signs with Eagles) 11. Osa Odighizuwa (Re-signs with Cowboys) 14. Nick Bolton (Re-signs with Chiefs) 20. Alaric Jackson (Re-signs with Rams) 21. Khalil Mack (Re-signs with Chargers) 23. Jamien Sherwood (Re-signs with Jets)
  25. With Khalil Mack heading back to the Chargers (as Shanna noted), that means NINE of Prisco's top 25 free agents have already signed somewhere and FREE AGENCY HASN'T EVEN STARTED. Seven of those nine players were re-signed by their own team and two of the nine (Trey Smith and Tee Higgins) were hit with the franchise tag.
