  1. One indication the Falcons could still trade Cousins rather than keep him is they didn't restructure his contract, which would push the money he is owed into future years. The Falcons currently have the fifth-lowest amount of cap space available in the NFL ($10.6 million). Cousins has a $40 million cap hit in 2025, but the Falcons could save $27.5 million against the cap if they trade him after June 1. A pre-June 1 trade would save the Falcons $2.5 million. Penix, the No. 8 pick in the 2024 draft, is entering offseason activities as the top quarterback on Atlanta's depth chart. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/25179868-falcons-hc-open-kirk-cousins-trade-confident-qb-penix-jr-backup-amid-rumors
  2. Asked about being connected to DK Metcalf and whether the Panthers' offense needs that level of WR at some point, Dave Canales said: "I think we've got that guy. Xavier Legette."
  3. Detroit Lions general manager Brad Holmes indicated that the team was going to pick up the fifth-year option for star wideout Jameson Williams. As for the longer term, well, that's where things aren't as concrete, particularly with a pricey WR market. "Look, his fifth-year option, it's looking likely that we'll go ahead and just pick that up," Holmes told the Detroit Free Press' Dave Birkett. "But in terms of extension, again, there's a lot of extensions that are hopefully coming, but it's just one that you just don't know what's going to happen from a financial standpoint cause a wide receiver, it's expensive. It's very expensive. "So, look, these are good problems."
  4. New Patriots WR Stefon Diggs, who’s coming off a torn ACL suffered in Week 8 vs. the Colts, is on track to return for Week 1 of the upcoming season. It was another reason the Patriots felt comfortable giving Diggs the three-year, $69 million deal that GM Eliot Wolf and Diggs’ agent Adisa Bakari of @TheSportsEntGrp negotiated.
  5. Fri, March 28, 2025 at 5:04 PM GMT Patriots linebacker and captain Ja'Whaun Bentley says goodbye New England Patriots linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley is saying goodbye. Bentley, a three-time captain on the Patriots, is expected to be released later today after spending seven years in New England, per ESPN. "Thank you for everything," Bentley wrote. "It's been a blessing."
  6. Warren is a good prospect in my eyes, great prospect in some other peoples eyes, but generational? i don't know about that. But that is just the opinion of a humble huddler. How would you sell me on Warren as a generational prospect?
  7. There are normally 3 types of mock drafts. 1. Predictive mock draft 2. What i would do mock draft 3. Different scenario mock draft This mock draft was a mix of what they would do and a different scenario. They mentioned it plenty of times. Basically it was what they would do but in an attempt to give the viewers a different scenario than they have been seeing on majority of mock drafts. Basically this mock is a waste of time for most viewers that just want to see predictions based on what is being heard. I normally only watch mock drafts for opinions of players not where these guys think they will land. I normally hate the idea of trades in mock drafts though honestly speaking.
  8. If you want a quick laugh look at this mock draft https://atozsports.com/nfl-draft/2025-2round-nfl-mock-draft-ashton-jeanty-panthers-new-york-qb-josh-allen/

  10. Texas + South Carolina players = Carolina Longc0cks
  11. Panthers reportedly 'intrigued' by Arizona WR Tetairoa McMillan, per Joe Person McMillan has great size (6-4, 219) and an uncanny ability to high-point the ball. Without blazing speed, there are concerns about his ability to separate. Some in Carolina’s organization are intrigued. https://pantherswire-eu.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/03/24/2025-nfl-draft-rumors-panthers-tetairoa-mcmillan-interest/82634663007/
  12. According to Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer, the team is hosting safeties Julian Blackmon and Marcus Williams on free-agent visits today. Blackmon, a third-round pick of the Indianapolis Cols from 2020, has played five NFL seasons. The 26-year-old has amassed 300 combined tackles, 10 interceptions, 21 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries over 66 games. Williams, a 2017 second-round selection by the New Orleans Saints, is set to enter his ninth pro campaign in 2025. The 28-year-old has split his career between the Saints and the Baltimore Ravens—totaling 469 tackles, 20 interceptions, 56 passes defensed, three forced fumbles and four fumble recoveries.
  13. Kicker Joey "BIG LEG" Slye agreed to a contract with the Tennessee Titans, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
  14. Honestly, I think the way ahead to get out of paying our OL so much is to draft our way out. Let the expensive deals play out like Moton, and draft the replacements. Easier said than done with our drafting history, but hopefully this is how we get it done. I just wouldn't want us to jump the gun on this. Every draft we should be taking at least one OL prospect.
  15. "Free agent S Julian Blackmon is on a free agent visit to the Panthers today, sources say," Rapoport wrote. "Just 26, Blackmon has been a starter with the Colts for the last five years. Carolina is still looking to add on defense, with Blackmon being the latest they’re taking a look at." A former third-round pick of the Colts in 2020, Blackmon spent the first five years of his career in Indianapolis, where he tallied 300 tackles, 13 tackles for loss, 21 passes defensed and 10 interceptions in that span. In 2024, Blackmon finished with 86 tackles, four passes defensed, three interceptions and one tackle for loss. The 26-year-old also posted Pro Football Focus grades of 73.5 in coverage and 55.1 in run defense. https://www.si.com/nfl/panthers/carolina-panthers-nfl-free-agency-visit-julian-blackmon
