“Mahomes practices like he’s trying to make the team”

Well we might win the Giants game at least

Luton actually started 3 games for Jacksonville in 2020, he can run a preseason game. Plummer wasn't even decent at Louisville
-
Falcons just had a list of non dressed players go up like 20 minutes before their game started. It's not required in preseason to announce anything, some coaches are more forthcoming with the info but lately beat writers just make a list of who's not in uniform during warm ups

I'll settle for a quarter of Dalton at this point. Anything besides 3 quarters of Plummer again

The Jets Joint Practice Thread: HOT Take Edition
Jackie Lee replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Speaking of, that's the first i've read of the major lack of pass rush during the joint practice. Gotta think they'll hit the waiver wire for that especially if Wonnum and Barno can't get on the field anytime soon. It’s important to note that with DJ Wonnum and Amare Barno sidelined, the Panthers are already thin at the edge rush position. Add to that Jadeveon Clowney being given the day off, the defense struggled to get any pressure on Rodgers, who took advantage of the time by driving the ball down the field effortlessly. The coaching staff has said that they are comfortable with their pass rush group, but outside of Clowney, no one has consistently proven that they are able to apply pressure. Add to that a now banged-up secondary, a defensive unit that has always been the lone bright spot could become a weakness. -

Garrett Wilson made a little highlight real yesterday, hard to make out the db numbers though aside from Horn not really engaging on that first td pass
-
So does Andy Dalton!

The Jets Joint Practice Thread: HOT Take Edition
Jackie Lee replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
Yes of course, he just didn't use the greatest wording in my opinion. He cleaned it up, and didn't use a DBO sign or just sink his head in despair like the last two coaches were prone to do. I actually want to see more of that side of Canales once he gets more comfortable in the HC role and gets a little criticism from fellow coaches on how to handle these types of things -

Yeah just an odd time for Canales to go from rainbows and candy to borderline calling a player dumb. I'm sure he'll have some bumps trying to balance his vibe/messaging. At least the players seem like they are more motivated than the last few years -

I get that Canales had to say something about TMJ's ball flick but I don't think the actual players have seemed that internally motivated in years. Of course don't do it in a real game but I'd take an occasional penalty over everyone seeming completely apathetic. -
Yeah I don't think there's a rush to get it done before the roster cuts. Maybe a bottom churning guy to take reps if there's another injury this week
