  1. Watching the Bills put up a 10 minute drive running, dinking and dunking on us didn't exactly convince me we've improved anything in that category. It was against our rotational D-line guys but pretty much all of our starting LB's and secondary were out there the whole drive
  2. If he plays well and signs long term his cap hit next year can be $5-10M. If we want to franchise tag him it's $30M. We're coming into 23 at least $10M over the cap. Point is if Baker doesn't want to sign here long term we're going to have to do a bunch of cuts and dumb extensions to clear enough space to claim him for an additional year. I knew a cap is a myth person would eventually surface
  3. Yup. If Baker plays well the ball is in his court, if he decides to go elsewhere it won't be a good look for the coaching staff
  4. Rhule negates our winning potential by 2-3 games however it ultimately works out. Hopefully we have an interim head coach by week 5 and make a run for entertainment sake
  5. That's not really the point. Point is we got ourselves into a situation where we don't have the flexibility to franchise tag Baker if he does play well. If he balls out and Seattle or Giants/Texans etc offer him more. We would realistically need to clear about $70M in cap space somehow to franchise him. If he plays well and wants to be here long term it's doable, but if he wants to test the waters we could be out of luck in a bidding war
  6. Good timing, missed the majority of the summer humidity
  7. Yeah regardless of how well Baker and others play, if we can't make halftime adjustments and manage time outs Rhule and Snow just aren't capable of getting it done.
  8. The Bengals had a horrible O-line and schemed around it obviously with the help of Burrow. Also their 2nd half adjustment on D vs the Chiefs was something we've never seen Snow be able to pull off. The lack of adjustments is what kills this college style staff after the first couple scripted drives. Hopefully McAdoo can get the offense going but I also question going from the Joe Brady only 6 plays in the book style to the McAdoo playbook with so many options you can't make up your mind and get everyone on the same page
  9. And if that's the scenario but Baker walks in FA then what?
  10. Trey Smith was definitely not hindsight, pretty sure 90% of every teams fans were yelling at the TV in the 6th round watching him fall down the board. Thomas Fletcher isn't even on a practice squad right now lol
  11. Obviously Creed Humphrey>TMJ in the 2nd and Trey Smith>Long Snapper in the 6th
  12. The Temple/XFL guy that has 1 catch for 7 yards in 2 years under Rhule? Yeah, not buying his "Up to the players to execute" Rhule defense.
  13. His ceiling is still a guy that will get his ass kicked in the playoffs, just like he got his ass kicked in college when he actually faced legit competition
  14. They have Bozeman as the best center in the division and we had him in a competition with Elf
  15. Also CJ Henderson got picked on all preseason by number 2's, what's his role?
  16. Rewatching some stuff and pretty sure YGM isn't the answer opposite Burns. He makes the occasional flash play but doesn't really seem to have the instincts
  17. Side note I think Baker and McAdoo are way more intelligent about actual on the field football, and it'll be interesting if Rhule can't help but get up in their business and start his micromanaging just to pretend he has some involvement if it goes well
  18. Has any other HC had the chance to gamble on random QB's 3 years in a row, and fire the OC he hired? I'd go deeper into hirings and roster but I know there are a handful of "optimists" looking for the slightest misnomer to make excuses for the guy. Our most impressive wins I guess you could say were 2020 Chargers with a rookie QB and the 2021 Cardinals game that was more of a Cam thing. Everything else was Baylor/Temple level sort of playing better than the other team that also wasn't very good
  19. Yeah and throw in Evan Cooper and Jordan Dailey as position coaches that are basically clueless but giddy about the opportunity Rhule just gave them for whatever nepotism or hunch he decided on. It's not a secret everyone runs basically the same plays, it's obvious other coaches did a better job of calling the right plays at the right time and managing time outs/knowing what they were doing so they didn't have to burn time outs to get plays off against us the last 2 years. That TE mic'd up in that last confidential didn't exactly give me any confidence in the football IQ of that room
  20. That's almost more enjoyable. Not quite as HD, but the NFL player dims the screen every time you FF/RW or even move the mouse over the screen. Super annoying
  21. NFL+ Premium ($9.99 a month version) should have all game replays. I used it for preseason and last weeks game replay was up maybe 20-30 minutes after the game ending. the $4.99 version is useless, basically just live audio streams
  22. So we were nobodies first or second choice to win a wild card spot? There were 25 voters and only 3 think we'll grab the last wild card spot? They don't do a very good job of laying out this voting system
  23. They never even technically settled the Center battle, and the depth stuff is weird. If a tackle goes down, do you really throw Cam Erving out there? Or do you Move BC out there to his natural position, then throw Jordan/Mays in at OG and then have the whole line out of sync? The price of position battles and versatile backups
