All I could find is that SF tried to start him basically as a favor in 2008 and he went 8 tds to 11 int's before getting benched. Otherwise just journeyman practice squad qb

Yeah I can't believe he brushed off the finger tackles from last year like benching/squatting during the offseason was pointless. He doesn't have the frame for it anyway so maybe it was just him being passively defensive. It's hard to respect a dude like that when you see the amount of work someone like Chuba has put in the last two years to get to where he's at.

Plus we've already paid him for 3 games so that $2M-ish number the trading team would pay in 2024 would drop a little for them . We're stuck with those $6M prorated bonus numbers either way though. He held out for that before camp last year I remember lol.
