I’m sure he would that about any franchise if asked about a specific team. -
BREAKING: Panthers sign QB Kenny Pickett
flagfootballcoach28 replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
A 4th round pick won’t be our future QB. Might as well just wait for next year and pick a QB high.. No half measures. Might be possible with our tough schedule and BY as our QB. I think it’s smart to draft OL/secondary depth in the middle rounds this year. QB next year. This team needs every draft pick desperately. Just my opinion. -

BREAKING: Panthers sign QB Kenny Pickett

Is he going to hop, skip, and jump his way into the endzone? -
Blake Miller from Clemson. I love his film. At first, I was watching his film as a formality. Didn’t have much interest in him, but his size and explosion stood out. Plus, his on field drill performance at the combine was one of, if not the best of all tackles. I’m still surprised how underrated he is. The ASU kid with the long name is a stud too.

FA Splash: Panthers sign Jaelan Phillips EDGE

At least the Oweh contract makes me feel a little bit better about the Jaelan Phillips contact -
Damn it. God I hate the Bears so damn much.

FA Splash: Panthers sign Jaelan Phillips EDGE

Wasn't this guy almost medically retired not too long ago? I'm having a hard time stomaching this signing.. He is not worth this type of contract plain and simple. If he doesn't pan out, having Phillips and Wharton signed to these insane contracts will be disastrous. -
I could see Rico having to wait a while.. We’ll see though

Good signing by KC. They def need a more well balanced offense.

The more film I watch on Lloyd, the more I hope we avoid him. He’s extremely slow and clunky. Had to look up his combine 40 time to see if I was crazy. He ran a 4.66 which confirmed my thoughts. Fwiw Leo Chenal ran a 4.53. Devin Bush ran a 4:43 He was often in the right place at the right time. Feasted on horrible throws and tipped balls. I hardly ever saw him on the field on 3rd down. I’m praying we don’t sign him.

100%. If you can’t even scout your own position that you played, then are you really a skilled talent evaluator? That’s why the Trevin Wallace pick was so disappointing. Along with the lackluster ILB FA signings he’s whiffed on. Every coach, player, etc has their own “identity” aka something they are good at and can always hang their hat on. Same with a good GM. Idk what that is for Dan Morgan. There’s not one thing I can point to that exudes confidence regarding Dan Morgan’s personnel decisions. Hopefully he proves me wrong.

Plus, the fact that the Jags didn’t pick up his 5th year option begs the question why not? A little strange for the projected top FA ILB, former 1st rounder to not have his 5th year option picked up. Maybe they know something that we don’t? Also, he saved by far his best season for a contract year.. Maybe it’s all nothing and he turns out to be a great FA signing, but there’s a few things with Devin Lloyd that would make me hesitant to pay him 20 mill a year.

I don't disagree. Morgan has had multiple chances to address center in the draft. It's finally catching up to him
