We got to get some of yall in therapy. It's normal for teams to exercise the fifth-year option in order to continue working on an extension during the season (with added wiggle room of an extra year to get the deal done). It doesn't exclusively signify Icky wanting too much. It's a normal part of the process. That might seem a little different after Rhule/Hurney and Reich/Fitterer, but that's because both of those regimes were garbage juice.

I really, really like this pick when I sit back and reflect on the Panthers' current situation. Etienne's reports show that he's a by-committee back. He doesn't excel at anything, but he has no glaring weaknesses either. He's just... solid. That's a great RB2, regardless if JB's knee is done. It positions the team to still rock with Chuba as the premiere guy and JB's return will only be a massive boost to the room.

The Falcons' entire draft has literally been, "fug Panthers' fans."

Pass rush needed an upgrade, so both picks on day two went there. Day one pick went towards finding a possible WR1 to pair with our other possible WR1, except this one is a natural hands catcher that wins with size while the other one wins with size and speed but doesn't have natural hands.
