Definitely more positive than I was about the initial hire. What's impressed me more than Bryce's journey with him is how the coaching staff and play calling has evolved over the course of the season. They're clearly focused on getting better which in turn is going to lead to winning. Very interested to see what they lean into more next season vs. show less of.

CJ's best two games in terms of passing yards this season were 331yds vs. BUF and 345yds vs. JAX which had 181yds + 165yds in YAC respectively. Meanwhile, Bryce's two best games (298yds vs. TB, 263yds vs. KC) had 112yds + 101yds in YAC. CJ's done a great job of getting the ball to his weapons and those weapons have also (when not injured) done more after the catch than Carolina's WRs. As for trying to sell folks on the idea that Xavier Legette, Jalen Coker, Adam Thielen, David Moore > Nico Collins, Tank Dell, Stefon Diggs, John Metchie... idk about that one man... that's 495yds after the catch vs. 787yds.

Makes it even more impressive when we consider that he accomplished that behind Mays/Zavala rather than Corbett/Hunt. OL and the team as a whole really stepped it up. ATL fans are still grinding their teeth over their defense still not being able to generate a pass rush.

I don't think he "hand picked" them as much as they just tried to get affordable talent familiar with him. They were hoping that they'd be elevated by the system again, but low and behold we're running a bunch of soft cover three zone to deal with the talent deficit that ended up being somehow worse than anticipated. I can also see the team not looking to invest heavily in EE's guys without knowing whether or not he'd be back. Now that there's direction there, they can go all in. Considering that he's had to work with scraps the last couple of seasons, it's an exciting change to me.

Hell yea!!! Can't wait to see how they attack the safety room. EE needs smart, talented safeties to run his scheme. If the team can give the defense the kind of love that the offense got, ooh wee mayne

Snow ran a 3-3-5 I thought?

I think that Evero is a solid coach with tons of potential, but man was it tough to watch the defense sit in cover 3 for most games then trying to create errant throws with an occasional blitz. But with the talent he was working with... I mean... kind of hard to run his usual scheme. If they bring him back, they'll need another DT, a blitzing LB (Shaq can do that!), and top end safeties. If they don't bring him back... Robert Saleh?
-
ERFAs + RFAs I think are going to come back, if nothing else then to compete in camp. UFAs I think we'll see Mays and/or Christensen retained for the OL, Franks brought back for ST. Would love to bring back Shaq on a vet deal. Mike Jackson showed that he can be solid depth at least, so I'd bring him back as well as either Franklin OR Johnson to help out on ST. Speaking of ST, would be willing to bring back Jansen and Hekker but we gotta find a better kicker than Eddy.

If folks are going to blame him for the bad times then they gotta give him credit for the good times as well. Landing a franchise QB is a good thing.

Oh my damn I don't think I've ever seen a 100+ poo'd post
-
Shoot... that would change it to 24pts a.k.a. pick #118/#119. Folks are really trying to present today's win as a loss over that?
-
In terms of draft capital, going from #6 to #8 is a total of 46pts on updated draft trade charts. That's the equal to the value of pick #89. I'll take losing that for the reassurance that the team can continue to build around Bryce as QB1. Plenty of DL help in this draft to restock talent with.

I am trying so hard not to immediately mock Malaki Starks or Jalon Walker to the Panthers but it's SO DIFFICULT

We got our guy for the next 3 years at least, barring any setbacks.
