Based on my eye test of his footage (and our needs), I say Redmond has a good chance of making the roster.

Just watched plays from defensive lines of Oklahoma, Auburn and Oregon. I must say I was very impressed with Redmond's performance against Kansas State. He was constantly doubled and still came up with some great plays. Unfortunately, I was less impressed with what I saw from Leota and DJ Johnson in their footage. It is a small sample size though. Plus they were primarily playing DE in 4-3 formation so they may be more effective as OLB in 3-4?

I wouldn't undervalue these weapons. Maybe none of these guys are considered #1 receivers, but they have enough talent and experience to give Young a balanced attack...which may fit his style of quarterbacking anyway. Plus Sanders and Hurst should be solid safety nets for the rookie also. Finally, what's the other option? Trade away more valuable assets to get someone considered "elite"?

Well, I'm excited! Given that Bryce's o-line allowed a lot of pressure last year and he didn't have the best receivers, he's in an ideal situation at Carolina. He'll have a good o-line to protect him. A good running game to support him. Good weapons to target. And a defense that will keep them in most games. Honestly, a QB picked first overall in the draft couldn't have asked for a better environment.

I think maybe depth at CB...unless one of these undrafted rookies pans out. Otherwise, I'm concerned about the front line on D. I like Tuttle and Brown. Not sure if Tuttle should be NT. Even if he is, I'm skeptical about Williams on the other side. I feel like we should try natural NT Bravion Roy in the middle, with Tuttle and Brown at DE. More balanced. But maybe we have another player in mind? I think we're fine at TE. I like our LB Corp, especially if Chinn returns to a similar role as his rookie year. I also like our WR group. All this chatter about needing a "number 1" receiver might be moot given Bryce Young's style.

Hurst's number were comparable to Ertz and Waller last year. And I get the feeling Burrow prefers relying on his WRs more...especially with Chase and Higgins both getting over a thousand yards each. Even Tyler Boyd had over 700 yards.

I think we'll find Hurst to be very good. He was effective in the playoffs for Cincy...especially in snowy Buffalo.

I'm getting excited now. I wanted Stroud as much as anyone here, but I'm gonna trust in Young's leadership, intellect, elusiveness and overall skills. He's got a very good offensive line now, good weapons around him. I'm ready!

Shout out to Holton Ahlers, QB from my alma mater East Carolina University! MVP of the Birmingham Bowl, Hula Bowl and the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl this year. I was hoping he'd get drafted, but instead was picked up by Seattle undrafted.

I see Mays as a starter some day.

I love what I've seen from Mingo. Dude knows how to fight for the ball. I know Reich just said he'll have to fight for the job, but I gotta believe he'll see playing time.

Cam Peoples is a pretty big dude for a running back.

It looks like Johnson MIGHT be ideally suited for that other OLB spot because of his ability to stop the run and drop back in coverage.

Looks like more depth to go along with Barno, Haynes, etc. Although this guy look kinda big for an edge.

True. Although mist of those guys run, like, a lot. But there's a subtle elusiveness Young has that can allow him to stay healthy, I think.

I think Panthers and Texans both got a LOT better! I'm SO damn happy for Stroud. He didn’t deserve that roller-coaster. And even though I wanted CJ, I'm happy to have a highly intelligent, savvy and talented QB with Young. I'm gonna trust the concerns I had were just me being overly cautious.

I hope CJ dispels 2 myths: That Ohio State quarterbacks can't succeed. And that these S2 test mean anything. By the way, if it's true that bad scores on the S2 predict bad players, but great scores don't necessarily predict good players...why the heck would ANYONE take this test??? Seems to have more drawbacks than advantages.

I'd pick Young. Now if Maye absolutely kills it next season? Not sure.

I'm actually watching a documentary right now about the 2005 Aaron Rodgers/Alex Smith draft. I have an awful feeling Stroud will be dropping like Rodgers did.

I love how people NOW have a problem with Stroud's processing/anticipation...after the alleged S2 results. Nobody had a problem with his processing/anticipation watching the games. This includes Kurt Warner and his breakdown of Stroud's game against Michigan.
