  1. THIS! How about just some damn points and whatever QB is back there having a second to even take a step before being steamrolled
  2. He was supposedly already a bad ass on the field before the Tuhoys. He was all state without them but the movie didnt show that.
  3. I've only ever used Sling and was okay with it but hated the fact that you have to have an antenna to watch locals. Sounds like you have suer both and yttv is your choice. Going with it then.
  4. How are you pirating? Please teach me the way as I may join your jolly group of pirates as well.
  5. Does it suck? I was thinking about getting it for football season this year to watch the regular channels. Sling has a pretty good guide but you pretty much have to get both the blue and orange to enjoy a good selection of channels and then still have to find a decent antenna to pick up locals. It would be nice if Sling would just carry the locals like youtube tv does but im sure they would charge even more than they already do to a growing price hike they have constantly.
  6. Well damn. I know we have some injury concerns with CB always but a part of me wishes we did take a look at Fournette just to see. Who knows, maybe one of the guys we already have is a solid back waiting to show it or at least I hope.
  7. He was pretty tough back when he did play especially in college. Didnt follow him in the NFL much though
  8. I would damn sure take him! What about just not signing another WR since Byrd is out and signing Fournette?
  9. Aside from an "all athletes waste their money" post it appears most everyone else hasnt jumped to conclusions to the extreme. Personally, I think he feels betrayed and tricked thinking all along he was "adopted" in an 18 year old adult way and he is hurt and he also feels like the family profited majorly off his painful career that left him with major concussion issues that he has to take many medications for to this day (going by his post a year or so ago). Its all sad to me after the feel good story I foolishly thought it was as a gentleman who thought he had a family who loved him now believes they didnt and only loved what they could get out of him and im quite sure even if they didnt get tons of money their restaurants boomed and their endorsements boomed afterwards which did help them dramatically. Personally, if I was Mike I wouldnt sue but I would also banish their asses out of my life forever which has to hurt him AGAIN losing people he trusted that he thought were family after already having a rough upbringing. Its feeling bad for Oher and what he loses in the end that bothers me most aside from the money. Poor dude probably keeps feeling rejected and or used by family and thats the sad part to me.
  10. With it explained like that and your research it does look shady on their behalf. If they loved him and felt like he was another son to them they would have been happy to adopt him into the family and not wanted a dime from him as most caring parents just want the child's love and nothing financial from their child. That whole conservatorship does seem very shady. At 18 I would have had no idea what that was and wouldnt have even cared if I had no family and thought I was getting adopted.
  11. You are probably right in that they both would not have wanted to sign here and split carries. In a perfect world it would be nice but I see where you are coming from in that it tanks their own unique values for the future.
  12. This, from what I was reading the family including Oher didnt make much off it and was Hollywood that made the real money. The only decent money the family would have made would have to have to have been after the fact in any endorsements or anything they may have made when it was all released and any deals they brokered. If the movie holds true it doesnt look like the family needed much money with the number of restaurants they owned. IF of course that part was true it appears the family was doing pretty well already before they met Oher. Im sure their restaurants business/sales went through the roof after the release of the movie as well.
  13. Did the family sign off on the entire script of that movie? Did they sign off on the finished product? Often or not the writer or creator has a vision and the director or producers get involved and change the whole story then the movie becomes more of the directors version or interpretation of the story.
  14. Something wrong with having them both at their prices they settled on? We have pretty much nothing outside of Sanders.
  15. I wonder if the carpet matches the drapes?
  16. Gosh, it sure would have been nice if we kept Foreman and had him to take on the load since he wasn't expensive at all judging by what the Bears signed him for. I will probably bitch about not resigning Foreman the entire season as he belonged with us. He had all the characteristics of a Panthers redemption story cast away by another team to find success here.
  17. I was most excited about the Mingo pick. I get the feeling he is going to be a very good one. He also seems tough as hell as well which I love.
  18. This right here. I feel like we should have kept Foreman as he wasnt all that expensive and proved he could play. Hell, keep Foreman and sign Sanders for a very nasty one two punch.
  19. The song "Chances" wont have the same jingle to it anymore when it comes on the radio dammit Chances from The Blind Side
  20. Lets face it, he is basically a rookie all over again. He may look lost at times. He did show some nice ability to complete a pass though which has been hard to find in a Panthers QB since healthy Cam in his prime.
